Predation of freshwater bivalves by invasive crayfishes
The introduction of non-native species is one of the main threats to biodiversity and freshwater ecosystems are extremely vulnerable to biological invasions. Procambarus clarkii and Pacifastacus leniusculus are problematic aquatic invasive species and are well known for their feeding plasticity. These species are capable of preying bivalves.
