Fundamental problems of fretting wear.

open access: yesJSME international journal. Ser. 3, Vibration, control engineering, engineering for industry, 1988
Recent studies of fretting wear are reviewed on the basis of work carried out by the author's laboratory. Some of the new findings are introduced below. (1) The critical amplitude to produce severe wear is equivalent to the amplitude when the non-slip region disappears in the elastic contact.

Fretting Wear of Interference Fitting Surface of Planet Carrier Axle Hole

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2019
Based on the Archard theoretical wear calculation model and the finite element model, a discretized deep wear correction method suitable for the interference fit surface of the planet carrier axle hole is proposed for the fretting wear phenomenon at the ...

Role of temperature in tribolayers in fretting wear of γ-TiAl alloy

open access: yesFriction
The formation of tribolayers may play significant influences on fretting wear. At elevated temperature, the adhesion among wear debris and the increased diffusion rate facilitate the formation of tribolayers.

Numerical modelling of the effect of fretting wear on fretting fatigue [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This thesis reports the development of a method for predicting the fretting fatigue life of a system which takes into consideration the material removed as a result of fretting wear. The first implementation is based on a critical plane, multiaxial fatigue model and a damage accumulation framework.

Research on Composite Fretting Behavior of Human Cortical Bone of Mandibular

open access: yes工程科学与技术, 2008
:Dental implants suffer a great variety of loading modes during normal chewing functions, which will initially cause fretting damages at the bone implant interface and might finally induce the failure of implant. Composite fretting tests of flat cortical
