Langmuir and Freundlich Equation Test on Methylene Blue Adsorption by Using Coconut Fiber Biosorbent
Methylene blue is a cationic dye often used for various industries. Methylene blue waste harms aquatic biota. Most ways have been done to reduce the methylene blue pollution that includes photocatalytic, electrochemical, and adsorption.

Reconsideration of theoretical basis of Freundlich adsorption isotherm equation [PDF]
Abstract I constructed a modified surface complexation model that leads to the Freundlich isotherm approximately. The derivation of the Freundlich isotherm equation is based on the assumption that cations and anions are adsorbed onto the same surface simultaneously.

Sulphate adsorption and desorption can delay the response in soil acidity against changes in acid input. Here we evaluate the use of an extended Freundlich equation for predictions of pH-dependent SO4 adsorption and desorption in low-ionic strength soil systems. Five B horizons from Spodosols were subjected to batch equilibrations at low ionic strength

Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm equation test on the adsorption process of Cu (II) metal ions by cassava peel waste (Manihot esculenta crantz) [PDF]
Abstract This Study aims to determine the adsorption process of Cu (II) metal by cassava peel waste (Manihot esculenta crantz) meeting the Langmuir equation and Freundlich. Research method cassava peel made into activated carbon, then determine the mass, pH and optimum contact time.

Attachments of Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans ATCC 23270 onto elemental sulfur, quartz and complex chalcopyrite were investigated by analysis of its extracellular polymeric substances as well as applying Langmuir and Freundlich equations. The two equations fitted the adsorption equilibrium data with significant correlation coefficient over 0.9.

Zeolite and activated carbon can be used as adsorbent of metal ion Fe(II). The activation of zeolite and activated carbon was carried out with various acid and alkaline solutions. The purpose of this literature review is to determine the equation of the Langmuir isotherm and the Freundlich isotherm on the absorption of an adsorbate, namely metal ion Fe

A Unified Sorption Variable for Environmental Applications of the Freundlich Equation [PDF]
AbstractThe Freundlich equation (x/m = Kf C1/ne) has been used widely in sorption studies in chemistry and environmental research. Two problems arise in comparing sorbate‐sorbent systems if Ce ≠ 1 or if 1/n values differ. First, it is often not possible to compare Kf values from the literature if they were derived from different units of x/m and Ce ...

Role of Precipitating Solute Curvature on Microdrops and Nanodrops during Concentrating Processes: The Nonideal Ostwald–Freundlich Equation [PDF]
The microdrop concentrating process, which is one of the manipulations in the microdrop platform of microfluidic technologies, is a useful technique, especially in biological applications. This process may encounter a solute precipitation within the droplet if the solute reaches its solubility limit.

Adsorption isotherms are indispensable tools for the description of sorption processes of pollutants on adsorbents. The closeness of the equilibrium concentration (qe) to the calculated solid phase concentration (qecal) of the adsorbate, together with the co-efficient of determination (R2) and associated errors are important in determining the best ...
