Rhodamine B Adsorption Efficiency of Biochar Produced Through Co‐Pyrolysis of Municipal Sewage Sludge and Food Waste Mixture Under High‐Temperature Condition

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT With the large‐scale construction of wastewater treatment facilities, the production of municipal sewage sludge continues to rise. This sludge contains substantial amounts of toxic and hazardous substances, and improper disposal may lead to secondary environmental pollution.

Eggshell‐Based Biochar for Superior Adsorption of Crystal Violet Dye and Fluoride From Wastewater

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Present study investigates the efficiency of eggshell biochar as a low‐cost and ecofriendly adsorbent for the simultaneous removal of fluoride ions and crystal violet (CV) dye from wastewater. The eggshell waste was pyrolyzed to produce biochar, which was thoroughly characterized and subsequently employed for contaminant adsorption.

Efficient Adsorption of Chromium(VI) Ions from Aqueous Solution onto a Low-Cost Adsorbent Developed from (Wood Apple) Shell

open access: yesAdsorption Science & Technology, 2010
The removal of chromium(VI) ions from aqueous solution was studied using Limonia acidissima (wood apple) shell activated carbon. The removal extent was found to be a maximum at a pH value of 2, with the lowcost adsorbent having an adsorption capacity of ...

Adsorption Desulfurization of Liquid Fuel Using a Blend of Date Stones and Walnut Shells by Box–Behnken Design

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A specific microporous KOH/activated‐biochar (K/BC) was produced from a blend of date stones (DS) and walnut shells (WS) and used in the adsorptive desulfurization (ADS) of two types of model fuel DBT/n‐hexane (S‐hex), DBT/cyclohexane (S‐cyclohex).

Adsorption Characteristics and Mechanisms of Dibutyl Phthalate on Nanomaterials

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) is a widely used plasticizer whose environmental release poses significant risks to ecosystems and human health. This study systematically investigated DBP adsorption on three common nanomaterials—titanium dioxide nanoparticles (n‐TiO2), multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), and carboxylated MWCNTs (MWCNTs‐COOH)—using ...

Converting Durian Husk Into Adsorbent Beads for Methylene Blue Adsorption: Synthesis, Kinetics, Isotherms, and Reusability

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Environmental pollution from textile dyeing wastewater, particularly the discharge of harmful dyes like methylene blue (MB), poses a significant challenge. This study presents an innovative solution for dyeing wastewater treatment by utilizing durian husk, an agricultural waste, as an adsorbent for MB removal.

Study on adsorption characteristics of biochars and their modified biochars for removal of organic dyes from aqueous solution

open access: yesGreen Processing and Synthesis
To address organic dye pollution and agricultural waste comprehensive utilization, the biochar (ZB) was prepared using Rosa roxburghii residue as the material for preparation. Three modified biochars (ZBO, ZBS, and ZBH) were created using NaOH, Na2S, and
