Effect of surface functional group on Freundlich adsorption isotherm
This study was designed to investigate the relationship between Freundlich isotherm coefficient l/n and the molecular properties of activated carbon adsorbent. The surface of the adsorbent was modified using nitric acid to produce different types and amounts of oxidized groups.

Characterization of natural Yemeni zeolites as powder sorbents for ammonium valorization from domestic waste water streams using high rate activated sludge processes [PDF]
BACKGROUND In this study three natural Yemeni zeolites (NZ1, NZ2 and NZ3) having major minerals such as clinoptilolite and mordenite, were evaluated as low cost sorbents for the removal and recovery of ammonium ions.

Eggshell‐Based Biochar for Superior Adsorption of Crystal Violet Dye and Fluoride From Wastewater
ABSTRACT Present study investigates the efficiency of eggshell biochar as a low‐cost and ecofriendly adsorbent for the simultaneous removal of fluoride ions and crystal violet (CV) dye from wastewater. The eggshell waste was pyrolyzed to produce biochar, which was thoroughly characterized and subsequently employed for contaminant adsorption.

Sorption study of organic contaminant on raw and modified clay materials
The adsorption of volatile organic compound VOC (o-xylene) was studied by a static headspace coupled to gas chromatography in natural and intercalated clay. Vapor–solid adsorption isotherms of o-xylene were measured at 20 °C, 30 °C and 40 °C.

Dyeing and Adsorption Studies of Madder (Rubia tinctorum) on Wool Fibers
In this study, the dyeing behavior of wool fabrics with madder has been studied. Three well-known types of adsorption isotherms i.e. the Nernst, Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms were used to fit the data.

ABSTRACT The continuous increasing discharge of synthetic dyes into aquatic systems seems to be an important environmental and health risk due to their high toxicity and resistance to biodegradation. Among these dyes, methylene blue (MB) and Congo red (CR) are widely used in textile and industrial applications, necessitating sustainable and efficient ...
