Generalized uncertainty relations of Tsallis entropy on FrFT

Signal, Image and Video Processing, 2020
As the generalization of Shannon entropy, the Tsallis entropy plays an important role in signal processing. In this paper, the generalized uncertainty relations with respect to Tsallis entropy associated with FrFT(fractional Fourier transform) are demonstrated for the first time to date.

FRFT Based Transmultiplexers

2007 Third International IEEE Conference on Signal-Image Technologies and Internet-Based System, 2007
Transmultiplexers, the basis of which is filter banks, have been successfully utilized for multiuser communications. One important limitation however, is the leakage of signal from one channel to another known as crosstalk. This occurs because the core elements, synthesis and analysis filters employed are nonideal.

Filtering with FRFT convolution

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2012
The Fractional Fourier Transform (FRFT) is a generalization of the classical Fourier transform and has many applications in several areas including signal processing, optics and quantum mechanics. This paper presents a low pass filter, designed by using convolution theorem for FRFT.

A Novel FRFT Beamformer for Rayleigh Faded Channels

Wireless Personal Communications, 2008
A method of optimal beamforming for flat Rayleigh faded channels using the Fractional Fourier Transform (FRFT) is considered in this paper. It has been demonstrated through simulations that optimal beamforming with FRFT allows smaller mean-square errors in restoring signals degraded with linear time-or frequency variant distortions and Additive White ...

A novel analysis of PAPR of FRFT-OFDM system

2015 10th International Conference on Communications and Networking in China (ChinaCom), 2015
As is shown that the multicarrier system based on fractional Fourier transform (FRFT) has advantages over orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system in performance of peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). In this paper, precise expressions of PAPR of FRFT-OFDM scheme and traditional OFDM scheme are derived and verified by simulations, as an

LFM and FRFT to a novel FSK method

2017 6th International Conference on Computer Science and Network Technology (ICCSNT), 2017
With cosine signal as carrier, the traditional Frequency shift keying (FSK) method achieves fast non-coherent demodulation by FFT. But as carrier, the cosine signal has the shortcomings of non-time-varying the signal, fixed frequency, anti-interference and poor security performance.

Development of convolution theorem in FRFT domain

2010 International Conference on Signal Processing and Communications (SPCOM), 2010
The fractional Fourier transform (FRFT), which is a generalization of the Fourier transform (FT), has emerged as a very efficient mathematical tool for signals which are having time-dependent frequency component. FRFT has an advantage over other transforms being used in the application areas like: signal processing and optics.

Performance improvement of OFDM with DWT-FrFT

2016 International Conference on Signal Processing, Communication, Power and Embedded System (SCOPES), 2016
To enhance the band width usage without cyclic prefix and pilot insertion, wavelet based OFDM is employed for performance increment using BER analysis. This also classified on AWGN, RICIAN, RAYLEIGH and NAKAGAMI channels for BER performance based on SNR.

Application of the FRFT to distortion analysis in transmultiplexers

2008 24th Biennial Symposium on Communications, 2008
In this paper, a fractional Fourier transform (FRFT) based technique for the elimination of amplitude and phase distortions in the transmultiplexer (TMUX) is presented. The core elements of the TMUX, the synthesis and analysis filter banks cause amplitude and phase changes due to the filtering operations in the filter banks thereby altering the perfect

Threshold Filtering for Phoneme Pronunciation Signals Based on FrFT

2018 2nd European Conference on Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), 2018
The Fractional Fourier Transform (FrFT) is applied to the denoising of noisy speech. The optimal transform order of FrFT for single phoneme is determined by using weighted variance method. Then the soft-hard threshold compromise denoising algorithm is put forward.
