Hypercorrections in a Western Basque text: What do they tell us about sibilant mergers?

Abstract Purpose Tooth loss leads to reduced occlusal contact area, altered jaw biomechanics, and diminished neuromuscular coordination, impairing both masticatory function and speech clarity.
