Friction Angle Prediction of Carbonate Rocks: A Case Study, Rumaila Oil Field
Friction angle (đ) and Cohesion (đ) are the most important factors to depict rock's shear strength. The friction angle (Ï) expresses a unit of rock's capacity to endure shear stress. For the optimization of drilling operations, monitoring of the

Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patientâderived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Timeâresolved Xâray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under nearânative conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for lightâtriggered TRâXSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calciumâtransporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcÎłR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

The crystal structure of Borrelia burgdorferi nicotinamidase (PncA/BBE22) reveals the correct fullâlength protein initiated from a nonâcanonical AUU start codon. The structure validates previous biochemical findings and resolves a longâstanding annotation error, demonstrating that the truncated database sequence is structurally incompatible with the ...

In this study, a novel esterase from the thermoacidophilic archaeon Thermoplasma acidophilum was biochemically and structurally characterized. Our results demonstrate that Ta0887 is a highly thermostable esterase that preferentially hydrolyzes pânitrophenyl hexanoate and possesses an αâhelical cap domain that likely contributes to its substrate ...
