An Efficient FDTD Method Based on Subgridding Technique and One-Step Leapfrog ADI-FDTD

IEEE Microwave and Wireless Technology Letters, 2023
In this letter, a 3-D subgridding finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) approach is proposed. The calculation domain is divided into regions with dense meshes and regions with coarse meshes.

Book Review: Colin C Williams and Friedrich Schneider, Measuring the Global Shadow Economy: The Prevalence of Informal Work and Labour

Work, Employment and Society, 2020
Given the surfeit of literature examining the global shadow economy, sociologists in this field of study might ask: ‘What more could be added to this body of research?’.

Improved convolutional perfectly matched layer with auxiliary differential equation for the weakly conditionally stable finite‐difference time‐domain method

International journal of RF and microwave computer-aided engineering, 2022
On basis of the auxiliary differential equation, an improved convolutional perfectly matched layer (CPML) scheme has been proposed and applied to the three‐dimensional weakly conditionally stable (WCS) finite‐difference time‐domain (FDTD) method.

David Friedrich Strauß, Father of Unbelief

, 2020
This book is an intellectual biography of one of the most controversial thinkers of nineteenth-century Germany: David Friedrich Strauß (1808–74). It examines Strauß’s intellectual development from his first work—Das Leben Jesu—to his last—Der alte und ...

Depression Is the Leading Cause of Disability Around the World.

Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), 2017
Potential Cause of Nodding Syndrome Identified Nodding syndrome, a rare form of epilepsy that has affected thousands of children between the ages of 5 and 15 years in East Africa, may be caused by an inappropriate immune reaction to the parasitic worm ...

A 3-D precise integration time-domain method without the restraints of the courant-friedrich-levy stability condition for the numerical solution of Maxwell's equations

IEEE transactions on microwave theory and techniques, 2006
In this paper, a new three-dimensional time-domain method for solving vector Maxwell's equations, called the precise-integration time-domain (PITD) algorithm, is proposed in order to eliminate the Courant-Friedrich-Levy (CFL) condition restraint. The new

Friedrichs Method in a Lyapunov Problem

Applicable Analysis, 2002
By using the well-known Friedrichs extension and some a priori inequality, we obtain weak solutions of a Lyapunov equation. In particular, we show that the Lyapunov functions satisfying necessary and sufficient conditions in the domain of asymptotic stability of a singular point some dynamical system must be absolutely continuous.

An Optimized 3-D HIE-FDTD Method With Reduced Numerical Dispersion

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2018
Fast and accurate modeling of scatters with fine structural feature in one or two directions has significant practical and scientific importance. To fill such research gaps, a 3-D artificial anisotropy hybrid implicit–explicit finite-difference time ...

An explicit filtering method for large eddy simulation of compressible flows

, 2003
A method for large eddy simulation (LES) is presented in which the sub-grid-scale modeling is achieved by filtering procedures alone. The procedure derives from a deconvolution model, and provides a mathematically consistent approximation of unresolved ...

Optimization of the Artificially Anisotropic Parameters in WCS-FDTD Method for Reducing Numerical Dispersion

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2017
A 3-D artificial anisotropy weakly conditionally stable finite-difference time-domain (AA-WCS-FDTD) method is presented to reduce the dispersion error without introducing additional computational cost and complexity.
