Azaporphyrinoid‐Based Photo‐ and Electroactive Architectures for Advanced Functional Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A long‐standing collaboration between the Torres and Guldi groups has yielded diverse azaporphyrinoid‐based donor‐acceptor nanohybrids with promising applications in solar energy conversion. This conspectus highlights key molecular platforms and structure‐function relationships that govern light and charge management, supporting the rational design of ...

Mechanical Stress Evolution in Polycrystalline Ge Thin Films Under MeV Ion Irradiation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Irradiation of polycrystalline Ge thin films with 1.8 MeV Au ions alters residual stress through defect generation and lattice expansion. Increasing fluence drives progressive lattice disorder and eventual amorphization. Polycrystalline Ge resists amorphization longer than crystalline Ge, as grain boundaries facilitate defect diffusion, significantly ...

Transferências e apropriações de saberes: Friedrich Bieri e a matemática para o ensino primário - Knowledge transferences and appropriations: Friedrich Bieri and the mathematic to the primary school

open access: yesHistória da Educação, 2015
A partir da análise da obra de Friedrich Bieri (1844-1924), um suíço que emigrou para o Brasil no século 19, identificamos apropriações de saberes produzidos em países de língua alemã no ensino brasileiro.

Advances in Halide Perovskites for Photon Radiation Detectors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work highlights recent progress in perovskite‐based photon radiation detectors, covering organic–inorganic hybrid, inorganic, lead‐free double, and vacancy‐ordered halide perovskites. Their detection performance is compared, material‐specific advantages and challenges are examined, and provides insight into current limitations and future ...

Global Affinities: The Natural Method and Anomalous Plants in the Nineteenth Century

open access: yesHoST, 2021
Approaching from an analysis of the work of Robert Brown (1773-1858) and Friedrich Welwitsch (1806–1872) on Rafflesia and Welwitschia, this article explores how the “natural method” became a tool for understanding extra-European flora in the nineteenth ...

Functionals Defined on Piecewise Rigid Functions: Integral Representation and Γ -Convergence

open access: yes, 2020
We analyse integral representation and Γ-convergence properties of functionals defined on piecewise rigid functions, that is, functions which are piecewise affine on a Caccioppoli partition where the derivative in each component is constant and lies in a

Additive‐Manufactured, Multifunctional Bioreactor Technology for Dynamic Culture of 3D Bioprinted Tissue Models

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We introduce an additively manufactured bioreactor with a perfusion flow system and integrated temperature and pH sensors for skeletal muscle tissue biofabrication. The bioreactor's performance was evaluated by assessing the viability, spreading of the myoblast cells in a printed scaffold, and contraction of the isolated murine musculi interossei ...

Research on karst collapse pillar imaging of water-rich area in coal mine

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2019
In order to solve the problem that selection of time step was limited by Courant-Friedrich-Lewy stability condition in current finite-difference time-domain(FDTD) method commonly used in advanced detection transient electromagnetic method of water-rich ...

Piezoresistivity Enhancement by Graphite Flake Alignment in Thin Composite Films for Dielectric Elastomer Switches

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article presents dielectric elastomer switch (DES) materials, based on composite thin films. Alignment of graphite flakes due to their physical confinement within the thin films lead to much stronger piezoresistive responses than bulk composites, while their durability exceeds that of conventional liquid‐based DES materials.

Revisiting Matrix Interpretations for Proving Termination of Term Rewriting [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Matrix interpretations are a powerful technique for proving termination of term rewrite systems, which is based on the well-known paradigm of interpreting terms into a domain equipped with a suitable well-founded order, such that every rewrite step ...
