Tree- versus graph-level quasilocal Poincare duality on S^1

open access: yes, 2015
Among its many corollaries, Poincare duality implies that the de Rham cohomology of a compact oriented manifold is a shifted commutative Frobenius algebra --- a commutative Frobenius algebra in which the comultiplication has cohomological degree equal to

Topological Frobenius algebras

open access: yes, 2022
We define the notions of unital/counital/biunital infinitesimal anti-symmetric bialgebras and coFrobenius bialgebras and discuss their algebraic properties. We also define the notion of a graded 2D open-closed TQFT. These structures arise in Rabinowitz Floer homology, loop space homology, quantum homology, and the homology of finite dimensional ...

Enhancing generalized spectral clustering with embedding Laplacian graph regularization

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract An enhanced generalised spectral clustering framework that addresses the limitations of existing methods by incorporating the Laplacian graph and group effect into a regularisation term is presented. By doing so, the framework significantly enhances discrimination power and proves highly effective in handling noisy data.

Equivariant U(N) Verlinde algebra from Bethe/gauge correspondence

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We compute the topological partition function (twisted index) of N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 U(N) Chern-Simons theory with an adjoint chiral multiplet on Σ g × S 1.

Strategic Influencers and the Shaping of Beliefs

open access: yesThe RAND Journal of Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Influencers, from propagandists to sellers, expend vast resources targeting agents who amplify their message through word‐of‐mouth communication. While agents differ in network position, they also differ in their bias: Agents may naturally read articles with a particular slant or buy products from a certain seller.

Frobenius Modules Associated to Algebra Automorphisms

open access: yesMathematics
Here, we study Frobenius bimodules associated with a pair of automorphisms of an algebra and discuss their basic properties. In particular, some equivalent conditions for a finite-dimensional bimodule are proved to be Frobenius and some isomorphisms ...

On algebraic structures of the Hochschild complex [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We first review various known algebraic structures on the Hochschild (co)homology of a differential graded algebras under weak Poincar{\'e} duality hypothesis, such as Calabi-Yau algebras, derived Poincar{\'e} duality algebras and closed Frobenius ...

A Comparative Review of Specification Tests for Diffusion Models

open access: yesInternational Statistical Review, EarlyView.
Summary Diffusion models play an essential role in modelling continuous‐time stochastic processes in the financial field. Therefore, several proposals have been developed in the last decades to test the specification of stochastic differential equations.

Algebras of right ample semigroups

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2018
Strict RA semigroups are common generalizations of ample semigroups and inverse semigroups. The aim of this paper is to study algebras of strict RA semigroups.
