ABSTRACT Purpose To improve slice profile consistency across echo trains in turbo spin echo (TSE) imaging, thereby reducing image blurring and increasing the accuracy of multi echo spin echo T2$$ {T}_2 $$ mapping. Methods Excitation and refocusing RF pulses were optimized for TSE using a differentiable extended phase graph model that incorporates the ...

A Global Krylov Subspace Method for the Sylvester Quaternion Matrix Equation
This study concerns the Sylvester matrix equation in the quaternion setting when the coefficient matrices as well as the unknown matrix have quaternion entries.

Geometric Planted Matchings Beyond the Gaussian Model
ABSTRACT We consider the problem of recovering an unknown matching between a set of n$$ n $$ randomly placed points in ℝd$$ {\mathbb{R}}^d $$ and random perturbations of these points. This can be seen as a model for particle tracking and more generally, entity resolution.

Capital in Motion: Synthesizing the Circulation and Reproduction in a Multi‐Sector Growth Model
ABSTRACT This paper analyzes Capital in Motion (CIM) in a capitalist economy, based on Karl Marx's Capital, Volume 2. It examines the circuit of capital, distinguishing between stock and flow variables, and integrates a multi‐sector growth model that combines the circuit and turnover of capital with the reproduction scheme.

On the Frobenius norm of the inverse of a non-negative matrix
We prove a new lower bound for the Frobenius norm of the inverse of an non-negative matrix. This bound is only a modest improvement over previous results, but is sufficient for fully resolving a conjecture of Harwitz and Sloane, commonly referred to as the S-matrix conjecture, for all dimensions larger than a small constant.

On the Lang–Trotter conjecture for Siegel modular forms
Abstract Let f$f$ be a genus‐two cuspidal Siegel eigenform. We prove an adelic open image theorem for the compatible system of Galois representations associated with f$f$, generalizing the results of Ribet and Momose for elliptic modular forms. Using this result, we investigate the distribution of the Hecke eigenvalues ap$a_p$ of f$f$, and obtain upper

Phenome‐ and Genome‐Wide Insights Into Dietary Patterns: Health Consequences and Genetic Basis
Three new dietary patterns were derived from quadratically regularized‐principal components analysis. These patterns showed strong associations with a wide range of diseases and genetic factors. ABSTRACT Dietary patterns (DPs) integrate complex eating behaviors and provide stronger insights into health than analyses of single nutrients.

Non‐negative matrix factorization (NMF) can derive tissue features in a data‐driven manner without relying on biophysical model assumptions. First‐time application of NMF to 3D multi‐echo UTE knee MRI revealed four reproducible components associated with tissues of fast and slow transverse relaxation, water–fat mixture (chemical shift), and fat tissue.
