Inequalities for the Frobenius norm [PDF]
In this note, we present a refinement of Heinz inequality for the Frobenius norm and discuss the relationship between our result and some existing ...

Generalizations of 2-Dimensional Diagonal Quantum Channels with Constant Frobenius Norm [PDF]
We introduce the set of quantum channels with constant Frobenius norm, the set of diagonal channels and the notion of equivalence of one-parameter families of channels.

Stochastic Estimation of the Frobenius Norm in the ACA Convergence Criterion [PDF]
The adaptive cross approximation (ACA) algorithm has been used in many fast Integral Equation solvers for electromagnetic Radiation and Scattering problems. It efficiently computes a low rank approximation to the interaction matrix between mutually distant parts of a scattering object.

Probabilistic analysis of an estimator for the Frobenius norm of a matrix product
Summary: Estimating the Frobenius norm of a matrix product \(C=XY\) without computing \(C\) explicitly is required in applications such as the one-sided block Jacobi method. In this paper, we analyze \textit{M. Bečka} et al.'s [Parallel Comput. 28, No.

Frobenius Norm Regularization for the Multivariate Von Mises Distribution
Penalizing the model complexity is necessary to avoid overfitting when the number of data samples is low with respect to the number of model parameters.

Maximum Batch Frobenius Norm for Multi-Domain Text Classification [PDF]
Multi-domain text classification (MDTC) has obtained remarkable achievements due to the advent of deep learning. Recently, many endeavors are devoted to applying adversarial learning to extract domain-invariant features to yield state-of-the-art results.

On the Frobenius norm of commutator of Cauchy-Toeplitz matrix and exchange matrix
: Matrix commutator and anticommutator play an important role in mathematics, mathematical physic, and quantum physic. The commutator and anticommutator of two n × n complex matrices A and B are defined by [ A, B ] = AB − BA and ( A, B ) = AB + BA ...

Bounding the Frobenius norm of a q-deformed commutator
For two $n \times n$ complex matrices $A$ and $B$, we define the $q$-deformed commutator as $[ A, B ]_q := A B - q BA$ for a real parameter $q$. In this paper, we investigate a generalization of the Böttcher-Wenzel inequality which gives the sharp upper bound of the (Frobenius) norm of the commutator.

Truncated singular value decomposition in ripped photo recovery [PDF]
Singular value decomposition (SVD) is one of the most useful matrix decompositions in linear algebra. Here, a novel application of SVD in recovering ripped photos was exploited. Recovery was done by applying truncated SVD iteratively.
