The prime graph conjecture for integral group rings of some alternatings groups [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Group Theory, 2013
We investigate the classical Zassenhaus Conjecture (ZC) for integral group rings of alternating groups A9 and A10. Even the question (ZC) remains open as no counterexample is known up to date, it been confirmed for special types of groups such as ...

The Frobenius complexity of Hibi rings

open access: yes, 2018
We study the Frobenius complexity of Hibi rings over fields of characteristic $p > 0$. In particular, for a certain class of Hibi rings (which we call $\omega^{(-1)}$-level), we compute the limit of the Frobenius complexity as $p \rightarrow \infty ...

On Linear Codes over Finite Singleton Local Rings

open access: yesMathematics
The study of linear codes over local rings, particularly non-chain rings, imposes difficulties that differ from those encountered in codes over chain rings, and this stems from the fact that local non-chain rings are not principal ideal rings.

Stabilizer codes over Frobenius rings [PDF]

open access: yes2012 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory Proceedings, 2012
Quantum error-correcting codes over finite fields have been widely studied, but quantum codes over rings have been left largely unexplored. This paper introduces stabilizer codes over finite Frobenius rings and establishes their connection to classical code. Structural properties of stabilizer codes over finite Frobenius rings are established.

A partial envelope approach for modelling multivariate spatial‐temporal data

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, EarlyView.
Abstract In the new era of big data, modelling multivariate spatial‐temporal data is a challenging task due to both the high dimensionality of the features and complex associations among the responses across different locations and time points.

MacWilliams' Extension Theorem for Bi-Invariant Weights over Finite Principal Ideal Rings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A finite ring R and a weight w on R satisfy the Extension Property if every R-linear w-isometry between two R-linear codes in R^n extends to a monomial transformation of R^n that preserves w.

Self‐Similar Blowup for the Cubic Schrödinger Equation

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We give a rigorous proof for the existence of a finite‐energy, self‐similar solution to the focusing cubic Schrödinger equation in three spatial dimensions. The proof is computer‐assisted and relies on a fixed point argument that shows the existence of a solution in the vicinity of a numerically constructed approximation.

On the Dimension of Modules and Algebras, II: (Frobenius Algebras and Quasi-Frobenius Rings) [PDF]

open access: yesNagoya Mathematical Journal, 1955
In this paper we study Frobenius algebras and quasi-Frobenius rings with particular emphasis on their cohomological dimensions. For definitions of these cohomological dimensions we refer the reader to Cartan-Eilenberg [3] or Eilenberg [4].

A Deep Learning Framework for Forecasting Medium‐Term Covariance in Multiasset Portfolios

open access: yesJournal of Forecasting, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Forecasting the covariance matrix of asset returns is central to portfolio construction, risk management, and asset pricing. However, most existing models struggle at medium‐term horizons, several weeks to months, where shifting market regimes and slower dynamics prevail.

Link homology and Frobenius extensions

open access: yes, 2006
We explain how rank two Frobenius extensions of commutative rings lead to link homology theories and discuss relations between these theories, Bar-Natan theories, equivariant cohomology and the Rasmussen invariant.Comment: 13 pages, 2 ...
