Longitudinal convergence fronts in homogeneous rotating channels [PDF]
In situ observation and remote sensing imagery indicate the presence of velocity convergences located over bathymetric channels in the mouths of tidal estuaries. In this paper we present the results of numerical simulations performed to investigate these velocity structures in a rotating channel having a single bathymetric groove.

Research on the Modified Mathematical Prediction Model of Impeller Cover Side Cavity Liquid Pressure for Centrifugal Pumps [PDF]
Accurate calculation of pressure distribution in the impeller cover side cavity is the key to predict the axial force of centrifugal pump. The existing calculation models almost does not involve the prediction of cavity pressure when the radial ...

Non-destructive testing of a rotating glass-fibre-reinforced polymer disc by swept source optical coherence tomography [PDF]
Composite materials are used for high-performance rotating blades, e.g. in turbines and wind power plants. Here, optical coherence tomography was used to visualize large areas of fibre-reinforcedpolymer discs at rotation speeds of up to 1200 rpm.

A 24-GHz 90-nm CMOS beamforming receiver front-end with analog baseband phase rotation [PDF]
A 24 GHz 2-path beamforming receiver front-end in 90 nm CMOS is presented. It consists of two direct conversion front-ends followed by a baseband block performing phase rotation and signal combination.

Hand and Foot Selection in Mental Body Rotations Involves Motor-Cognitive Interactions
Action imagery involves the mental representation of an action without overt execution, and can contribute to perspective taking, such as that required for left-right judgments in mental body rotation tasks. It has been shown that perspective (back view,

Rotational invariance in nuclear light-front mean field theory [PDF]
A light-front treatment for spherical nuclei is developed from a relativistic effective Lagrangian and employing the mean field approximation. Minimizing the nuclear minus momentum subject to the constraint that, in the rest frame, the expectation values of the plus- and minus-momenta are the same leads to a formalism in which rotational invariance is ...

Rotation numbers and the euler class in open books [PDF]
This paper introduces techniques for computing a variety of numerical invariants associated with a Legendrian knot in a contact manifold presented by an open book with a Morse structure. Such a Legendrian knot admits a front projection to the boundary of

Spherical signals exist in many applications such as planetary data, lidar scanning and digitization of 3D objects, so we need models that can effectively process spherical data.
