México ¿una frontera vertical? Políticas de control del tránsito migratorio irregular y sus resultados, 2007-2016

open access: yesLiminar: Estudios Sociales y Humanísticos, 2018
The objective of this paper is to analyze the extent to which Mexican migration policy has made Mexico an extensive border for irregular migrants in transit to the United States, the so-called "vertical border." To this end, it examines Mexican control ...

Average power density spectrum of long GRBs detected with BeppoSAX/GRBM and with Fermi/GBM

open access: yes, 2013
From past experiments the average power density spectrum (PDS) of GRBs with unknown redshift was found to be modelled from 0.01 to 1 Hz with a power-law, f^(-alpha), with alpha broadly consistent with 5/3.

A-DInSAR Monitoring of Landslide and Subsidence Activity: A Case of Urban Damage in Arcos de la Frontera, Spain

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2017
Terrain surface displacements at a site can be induced by more than one geological process. In this work, we use advanced differential interferometry SAR (A-DInSAR) to measure ground deformation in Arcos de la Frontera (SW Spain), where severe damages ...

A Social Entrepreneurship Perspective of De‐Carbonising the Footprint through Recycling Compensation: A Case Study of the NGO Madre Coraje

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This research analyses the carbon footprint of the NGO Madre Coraje, using an integrated methodology that combines the calculator provided by REAS (Red de Economía Alternativa y Solidaria) Navarra and the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). It quantifies emissions across the three scopes of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, evaluating both direct and ...

SN/GRB connection: a statistical approach with BATSE and Asiago Catalogues [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Recent observations suggest that some types of GRB are physically connected with SNe of type Ib/c. However, it has been pointed out by several authors that some GRBs could be associated also with other types of core-collapse SNe (type IIdw/IIn).

Intramolecular Matere Bonds in Isostructural Rubidium (18‐Crown‐6) Pertechnetate and Perrhenate Dimers

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
Two rubidium cations that are not fully encapsulated by 18‐crown‐6 are bridged by two pertechnetate units to form a dimer. These two pertechnetate units are nearly linearly aligned to each other to form Matere bonds (MaBs), a type of noncovalent σ‐hole interaction.

Cap rock efficiency of geothermal systems in fold-and-thrust belts: Evidence from paleo-thermal and structural analyses in Rosario de La Frontera geothermal area (NW Argentina) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Cap rock characterization of geothermal systems is often neglected despite fracturing may reduce its efficiency and favours fluid migration. We investigated the siliciclastic cap rock of Rosario de La Frontera geothermal system (NW Argentina) in order to
