Conduction Characteristics of Frosting Circumferential Fin of Rectangular Profile

Advanced Materials Research, 2011
Through the appropriate assumptions, a mathematical model was derived on circumferential fin of rectangular profile coated with frost layer, and a new analytical solution is presented and compared to alternative approaches for calculating the fin temperature and efficiency.

Frost Prediction Characteristics and Classification Using Computational Neural Networks

2009
The effect of frost on the successful growth and quality of crops is well understood by growers as leading potentially to total harvest failure. Studying the frost phenomenon, especially in order to predict its occurrence has been the focus of numerous research projects and investigations. Frost prone areas are of particular concern.

Frosting characteristics on hydrophobic and superhydrophobic surfaces: A review

Energy Conversion and Management, 2017
Abstract Fabrication methods of the hydrophobic property on metal surfaces and frosting characteristics on hydrophobic surfaces were investigated. A hydrophobic surface with a static contact angle of less than 150° was implemented by surface coating or etching, and a superhydrophobic surface with a static contact angle of greater than 150° was ...

Epidemic curve characteristics for the Reed-Frost model.

Biomedical sciences instrumentation, 1991
Some useful approximations are developed in this paper that describe large-scale epidemic phenomena for the deterministic and stochastic Reed-Frost model. These characteristics provide an a priori quantitative description of the epidemic curve for the deterministic case, such as a threshold requirement, the total size of the epidemic, and the degree of
