Effect of different reagent regime on the kinetic model and recovery in gilsonite flotation
Gilsonite is a natural fossil resource, similar to an oil asphalt high in asphaltenes. To determine the effect of reagent regime on the kinetic order and rate of flotation for a gilsonite sample, experiments were carried out in both rougher and cleaner ...

Influence of operating parameters on nanobubble-assisted flotation of graphite
Although many studies have focused on processing of lithium-ion batteries (LiBs), there is a considerable lack of information concerning the application of nanobubbles (NBs) in their floatabilities.

Characterization of a two‐phase hybrid flotation column
Abstract This study explored the performance of a novel hybrid flotation column, which combines the advantages of a mechanically agitated cell with a flotation column and compared the results with a conventional flotation column setup. The experiments were performed in an air/water two‐phase system under varying airflow rates, frother concentrations ...

Separation of Carbon from Deinking Waste by Means of Flotation [PDF]
The technique of froth flotation, as practiced in the separation of mineral ores, has been applied to the separation of carbon black from the deinking waste of the paper industry. On the theory that carbon black (from ink) has a positive charge in water,

Abstract The Burren uplands in western Ireland form one of the most extensive and best‐preserved examples of glacio‐karst in Europe. Subsumed by the Irish ice sheet during the Late Pleistocene, granite erratic boulders and in situ silica veins in the limestone bedrock provide a rare opportunity to reconstruct the timing and rate of deglaciation ...

ABSTRACT Since 2019, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) has been associated with increased risks of preterm birth and placental complications. We prospectively investigated alterations in microRNAs (miRNAs) and cytokines in placental and amniotic tissues from pregnant women with and without COVID‐19 to evaluate the infection's impact on pregnancy ...

Some Frothing Characteristics of Flotation Frothers
Water content, overflowing fluidity and weight of entrained gangue particles in froths containing gangue were investigated, using MIBC, Yarmour F Pine oil, Dow Froth 250 as frothers in 500g Kyodaitype flotation test machine. Dry-grouned quartz and marble were used as gangue in the quantity of 100g/2.1-2.2l of solution.
