Bioinspired Smart Nanogels for Rapid Blue Laser‐Activated Hemostasis in Gastrointestinal Bleeding

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Waxberry‐inspired branched‐silica nanogel can swiftly stop bleeding upon blue laser endoscopy for gastrointestinal hemostasis in the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum of mini‐pigs. Abstract Gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB) is a critical condition that requires rapid and effective intervention.

New Perspectives on Semiconducting Conjugated Oligomers for Neuromodulation in Hydra vulgaris

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Semiconducting organic compounds, thiophene‐based, modify the rhythmic electrical activity of the cnidarian Hydra vulgaris acting on specific neuronal circuits. The ETE‐S trimer also forms electronically conducting wires in the living tissues of the animal.

Emerging Therapeutic Strategies for Hearing Loss

open access: yesAdvanced Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Challenges still exist in treating hearing loss in cases of severe damage to hair cells or spiral ganglion neurons. Here, a schematic diagram of cochlear sensory hair cells and auditory nerves is presented. It is found that in normal Corti organs, hair cells have upright stereocilia at the top and auditory neurons at the base. Ototoxic drugs, noise, or

The CRL7FBXW8 Complex Controls the Mammary Stem Cell Compartment through Regulation of NUMB Levels

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In breast cancer (BC), NUMB loss of function (LOF) is common and mainly driven by protein hyper‐degradation. The CRL7FBXW8 complex is the E3 ligase responsible for NUMB degradation. Inhibition of CRL7FBXW8 in NUMB‐LOF BC cells restores NUMB levels, and decreases the number of cancer stem cells and tumorigenic ability in vivo. Targeting CRL7FBXW8 offers

Stereotyped Subclones Revealed by High‐Density Single‐Cell Lineage Tracing Support Robust Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Based on a well‐established in vitro directed differentiation model and an integrated analysis of high‐density cell lineage trees (CLTs) and single‐cell transcriptomes, it is demonstrated that many subclones are formed by sub‐CLTs resembling each other in terms of both cell type compositions and topological structures.

Targeting Decidual CD16+ Immune Cells with Exosome‐Based Glucocorticoid Nanoparticles for Miscarriage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Exosome‐based nanoparticles (GC‐Exo‐CD16Ab) are designed to deliver glucocorticoids (GC) specifically to decidual CD16+ NK cells and macrophages. This targeted delivery effectively suppresses the cytotoxicity of decidual NK cells, inhibits M1 macrophage polarization, and modulates the decidual microenvironment.

Bilirubin Targeting WNK1 to Alleviate NLRP3‐Mediated Neuroinflammation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
At physiological concentrations, bilirubin binds to the kinase domain of WNK1, thereby augmenting its activity and facilitating the phosphorylation of downstream SPAK/OSR1. This phosphorylation inhibits KCC2 activity, leading to elevate intracellular chloride levels in neurons.

Elective frozen embryo transfer – What is the evidence?

open access: yesThe Onco Fertility Journal, 2020
Fresh embryo transfer (ET) has been the norm in Assisted reproductive technology (ART) treatment. However, there has been a concern about decreased implantation and pregnancy rates due to altered endometrial receptivity, resulting from the supra-physiological hormonal levels associated with controlled ovarian stimulation (COS).

Electrical Microneedles for Wound Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A review on state‐of‐art research concerning electrical microneedles applied for wound treatment is presented. After a comprehensive analysis of mechanisms of electrical stimulation on wound healing, the derived three types of electrical microneedles are clarified and summarized. Further, their applications in wound healing are highlighted.
