Effect of Fruit Thinning on ‘Hosui’ Pear Fruit Quality and Yield

Bhutanese Journal of Agriculture, 2021
In Bhutan, naturally occurring local type of pears were grown. Asian or Nashi pears are recent introduction which have become quite popular in eastern Bhutan since it was promoted by Agriculture Research and Development Centre (ARDC) Wengkhar. YIELD COMPONENTS AND FRUIT QUALITY OF PROMISING YELLOW FRUIT RASPBERRY SEEDLINGS

Acta Horticulturae, 2012
Ten selections from an open pollinated population of a yellow fruiting 'Meeker' raspberry clone were selected at the Experimental Station "Radmilovac" of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade. Many seedlings characteristics that are important to breeders, such as yield components and fruit quality were evaluated in this study.

Ammonium reduces growth, fruit yield and fruit quality of watermelon

Journal of Plant Nutrition, 1992
Abstract Watermelon (Citrullus lunatus Thunb.) plants cv ‘Sugar Baby’ were grown hydroponically in a greenhouse under NO3:NH4 ratios of 3:1, 1:1, and 1:3. Plants receiving the high ammonium treatment expressed symptoms of NH4‐toxicity and declined rapidly after bloom. Reducing NO3:NH4 from 3:1 to 1:1 significantly reduced growth, water use, fruit yield,

Yields and nutrient content of selected fresh fruits

Journal of the American Dietetic Association, 1985
Proximate composition, edible yields, and selected nutrients were measured in cantaloupe, cherries, grapes, nectarines, plums, and watermelon sampled in six major U.S. markets. Yields were lowest (about 55%) for the melons, but were much higher (about 90% or above) for other fruits. Fruits were high in moisture, low in protein, fat, and energy.

Inflorescence and fruit development and yield.

2018
Abstract The reproductive phase of pineapple begins in response to natural or growth-regulator forced induction of reproductive development. Because the inflorescence of pineapple is terminal, when reproductive development begins, formation of new leaves ceases.
