A Hysteretic Constitutive Model for Reinforced Concrete Panel Elements

open access: yesInternational Journal of Concrete Structures and Materials, 2019
A simple yet effective constitutive model-referred to as the “Fixed Strut Angle Model” (FSAM)-is presented in this paper for simulating the nonlinear axial/shear behavior of reinforced concrete membrane (panel) elements subjected to generalized and ...

Ultra-Processed Food Consumption and Biological Aging in Italian Adults from the Moli-Sani Study Cohort

open access: yesProceedings, 2023
Background and objectives: Chronological age (CA) may not accurately reflect the health status of an individual. Rather, biological age (BA) or hypothetical underlying “functional” age has been proposed as a relevant indicator of healthy aging.

Fabrication of High‐Performance rGO/Cu Composites via Arc Induction Melting: A Comprehensive Study on Microstructure, Tribological and Electrical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 2, 21 January 2026.
Cu composites containing 0.5–1 wt% rGO were produced via Arc Induction Melting, achieving grain refinement and Hall–Petch, Orowan and load‐transfer strengthening that increased hardness from 65 to 225HV30.rGO‐derived tribofilms cut wear by 78% and friction by over 60.

Effect of Annealing on Mechanical Behavior of Additively Manufactured Structures: A Large‐Scale Experimental Evaluation and Error‐Based Conditional Multiobjective Optimization

open access: yesAdvances in Polymer Technology, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Annealing is a heat‐treatment process that enhances polymers by relieving internal stresses, increasing ductility, and modifying the microstructure. This is particularly valuable in additively manufactured structures, where layer‐by‐layer deposition introduces residual stresses and heterogeneities. This study investigates how annealing scenarios affect

On the Influence of the Fiber Curvature on the Stiffness of Long Fiber Reinforced Composites

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, Volume 126, Issue 15, 15 August 2025.
ABSTRACT The degree of curvature of fiber inclusions in fiber‐reinforced composites impacts the elastic properties of the composite, but numerical studies of this effect are limited by the lack of efficient microstructure generators with fiber curvature control. We propose an extension to the fused Sequential Addition and Migration algorithm (Int.

The Association between Ultra‐Processed Foods and Depression, Anxiety and Sleep in Adults: A Cross‐Sectional Study in Iran

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 7, July 2025.
This cross‐sectional study examined the link between ultra‐processed food (UPF) consumption and mental health indicators in 5476 Iranian adults. Higher UPF intake was associated with increased odds of severe depression, particularly in females, while no significant associations were found for anxiety or sleep adequacy.
