Electromyography-Based Respiratory Onset Detection in COPD Patients on Non-Invasive Mechanical Ventilation

open access: yesEntropy, 2019
To optimize long-term nocturnal non-invasive ventilation in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, surface diaphragm electromyography (EMGdi) might be helpful to detect patient-ventilator asynchrony.

Nonlinear singular perturbations of the fractional Schr\"odinger equation in dimension one

open access: yes, 2019
The paper discusses nonlinear singular perturbations of delta type of the fractional Schr\"odinger equation $\imath\partial_t\psi=\left(-\triangle\right)^s\psi$, with $s\in(\frac{1}{2},1]$, in dimension one.

T2$$ {\boldsymbol{T}}_{\mathbf{2}} $$‐Weighted Imaging of Water, Fat and Silicone

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a sensitive method for assessing silicone implant integrity, with T2$$ {\boldsymbol{T}}_{\mathbf{2}} $$‐weighted imaging being essential for detecting abnormalities in surrounding tissue. Silicone breast imaging protocols often require multiple tailored sequences for species suppression and ...

Revisiting Unsupervised Learning for Defect Prediction

open access: yes, 2017
Collecting quality data from software projects can be time-consuming and expensive. Hence, some researchers explore "unsupervised" approaches to quality prediction that does not require labelled data.

Assessment of Optimal T1/T2‐Weighted Combinations for Myelin Sensitivity: Effects of Echo Time and Exponents

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose The aim of this study is to improve the traditional T1‐weighted (T1w) over T2‐weighted (T2w) ratio as a proxy for myelin by investigating the optimal T2w TE and combination of exponent‐weighted T1w and T2w images (T1wx1/T2wx2$$ \mathrm{T}1{\mathrm{w}}^{x_1}/\mathrm{T}2{\mathrm{w}}^{x_2} $$).

T $$ {}_{1\rho } $$ as a Biomarker for IDH1 Mutation Status in a Glioma Mouse Model. [PDF]

open access: yesNMR Biomed
Mice bearing IDH1‐mutant and ‐wild‐type glioma underwent quantitative T1ρ$$ {T}_{1\rho } $$ imaging over the course of tumour development. It was found that while IDH1‐wild‐type tumours present similar T1ρ$$ {T}_{1\rho } $$ values as the brain, IDH1‐mutant tumours exhibit significantly higher T1ρ$$ {T}_{1\rho } $$ values compared with the brain. T1ρ$$ {

K‐CC‐MoCo: A Fast k‐Space‐Based Respiratory Motion Correction for Highly Accelerated First‐Pass Perfusion Cardiovascular MR

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose First‐pass perfusion cardiovascular MR (FPP‐CMR) enables the non‐invasive diagnosis of microcirculation and coronary artery disease. In free‐breathing FPP‐CMR, motion correction is usually performed in the image domain, requiring an initial reconstruction.

Étude des conceptions du poids d’un corps chez les apprenants des classes de troisième (13-15 ans) de l’enseignement secondaire général camerounais

open access: yesRevue Hybrides
The weight is a fundamental concept in physics. Its early handling in everyday life induces enormous modelling difficulties in learners, and these persist even after teaching.

β3‐Adrenoceptor Agonists for Neurogenic Lower Urinary Tract Dysfunction: Evidence and Clinical Rationale for First‐Line Therapy

open access: yesNeurourology and Urodynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aims To summarize current evidence on β3‐adrenoceptor agonists for managing neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction (NLUTD), focusing on their efficacy, safety, and clinical role in optimizing bladder storage and protecting upper tracts. Methods Evidence from randomized controlled trials, meta‐analyses, and observational studies in spinal ...
