Direct Mode‐Resolved Measurement of Interfacial Phonon Transport by Acoustic Phonon Reflectometry

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
We introduce a novel analysis, acoustic phonon reflectometry, that measures the mode‐resolved phonon reflection coefficient at semiconductor interfaces. In aluminum nitride, we observe excellent agreement with the acoustic mismatch model across three distinct interfaces.

FROM THE HISTORY OF ACUTE MESENTERIC OCCLUSION (THE EPOCH OF NEW TIME). Part I

open access: yesАрхивъ внутренней медицины, 2015
Acute mesenteric occlusions and acute bowel infarction were described in the middle of the nineteenth century. In spite of the achievements of modern medicine acute mesenteric ischemia is still one of the most dangerous pathologies in emergency surgery ...

Multi-perspective structural integrity-based computational investigations on airframe of Gyrodyne-configured multi-rotor UAV through coupled CFD and FEA approaches for various lightweight sandwich composites and alloys

open access: yesReviews on Advanced Materials Science, 2023
As this unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has a planned airframe that can carry a 25 kg payload, understanding its structural capabilities, such as its compressive and tensile strengths under different situations, is essential.

Hadamard single-pixel imaging versus Fourier single-pixel imaging

open access: yes, 2017
Single-pixel imaging is an innovative imaging scheme and has received increasing attentions in recent years. It is applicable to imaging at non-visible wavelengths and imaging under low light conditions. However, single-pixel imaging has once encountered

Data‐Driven Bulldozer Blade Control for Autonomous Terrain Leveling

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A simulation‐driven framework for autonomous bulldozer leveling is presented, combining high‐fidelity terramechanics simulation with a neural‐network‐based reduced‐order model. Gradient‐based optimization enables efficient, low‐level blade control that balances leveling quality and operation time.

Gastrites chroniques à hélicobacter pylori: évaluation des systèmes OLGA et OLGIM

open access: yesThe Pan African Medical Journal, 2016

Conservative Management of Isolated Superior Mesenteric Artery and Celiac Trunk Dissection: A Case Report and Literature Review [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2016
Isolated arterial dissection without aortic pathology has been rarely reported in mesenteric vessels. The natural history and appropriate treatment for this disease is uncertain because of the scarcity of literature which limits the data available to ...

Final State Interactions in Kaon Decays Revisited

open access: yes, 2003
We examine effects of final state interactions (FSI) in kaon decays using a new scheme without the Omnes function, and show that while Delta I=1/2 rule is impossible to be explained in terms of FSI alone, $\epsilon'/\epsilon\sim 16.5\times 10^{-4}$ is ...

Fluid-structure interaction simulation of prosthetic aortic valves : comparison between immersed boundary and arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian techniques for the mesh representation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In recent years the role of FSI (fluid-structure interaction) simulations in the analysis of the fluid-mechanics of heart valves is becoming more and more important, being able to capture the interaction between the blood and both the surrounding ...

Lithiophilic Current Collector Without Interfacial Penalty in Zero‐Excess Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bilayer lithiophilic coatings are introduced to overcome the structural fragility of conventional single‐layer current collectors in zero‐excess Li‐metal batteries (ZE‐LMBs). By integrating density functional theory with electrochemical analyses, the Ag‐outer/Pt‐inner configuration enables uniform Li deposition, robust SEI formation, and persistent ...
