Least energy sign-changing solutions for a nonlocal anisotropic Kirchhoff type equation
In this paper, we investigate the existence of sign-changing solutions for the following class of fractional Kirchhoff type equations with potential (1+b[u]α2)((-Δx)αu-Δyu)+V(x,y)u=f(x,y,u),(x,y)∈ℝN=ℝn×ℝm,\left( {1 + b\left[ u \right]_\alpha ^2} \right ...

Statistical Model of Digital Coherent Combining Efficiency in Multi-aperture Receivers
In order to mitigate the performance fading of Free-Space Optical (FSO) communication system caused by atmospheric turbulence, a multi-aperture receiving scheme based on digital coherent beam combining is used.

Wireless Energy and Information Transmission in FSO and RF-FSO Links [PDF]
We propose and analyze a wireless energy and information transmission scheme in free-space optical (FSO) links. The results are presented for both quasi-static and fast-fading conditions. We derive closed-form expressions for throughput, outage probability, and optimal power allocation optimizing the system throughput/outage probability.

Impact of Channel Correlation on Different Performance Metrics of OSSK-Based FSO System [PDF]
In this paper, we study the impact of correlation on the bit error rate (BER) and the channel capacity of a free-space optical (FSO) multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) system employing optical space shift keying (OSSK) over a fading channel.

Availability of free-space optics (FSO) and hybrid FSO/RF systems [PDF]
Free Space Optics (FSO) has become a viable, high-bandwidth wireless alternative to fiber optic cabling. The primary advantages of FSO over fiber are its rapid deployment time and significant cost savings. The disadvantage of FSO over fiber is that laser power attenuation through the atmosphere is variable and difficult to predict, since it is weather ...

Hybrid Radio/Free-Space Optical Design for Next Generation Backhaul Systems [PDF]
The deluge of date rate in today's networks imposes a cost burden on the backhaul network design. Developing cost efficient backhaul solutions becomes an exciting, yet challenging, problem.
