Modeling and performance evaluation of free space optical link for ground-to-train communications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
There is an increased demand for high-speed train (HSR) services. Consequently, onboard high-speed internet access needs increased as passengers travel to and from work.

Optimization of Free Space Optical Wireless Network for Cellular Backhauling

open access: yes, 2014
With densification of nodes in cellular networks, free space optic (FSO) connections are becoming an appealing low cost and high rate alternative to copper and fiber as the backhaul solution for wireless communication systems.

Magnetic and Structural Response Tuned by Coexisting Mn Concentration‐Dependent Phases in MnBi2Te4 Thin Film Grown on GaAs(001) by Molecular Beam Epitaxy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 25, 26 March 2026.
The study explores structural and magnetic properties of one of the most recent topological quantum materials (MnBi2Te4). The Mn‐poor structure leads to stacking faults (quintuple layer ‐ QL of Bi2Te3 formation instead of a septuple layer ‐ SL of MnBi2Te4), resulting in a coexistence between weak antiferromagnetism and ferromagnetism.

Feasibility Analysis Of Free Space Earth To Satellite Optical Link In Tropical Region

open access: yesInternational Islamic University Malaysia Engineering Journal, 2012
Free Space Optics (FSO) becomes a great attention because of the chances in transmitting data up to 2.5Gbps. There are a lot of advantages offered by FSO such as easily deployment with saving time and cost and no electromagnetic interference. In spite of

Three-body spin-orbit forces from chiral two-pion exchange

open access: yes, 2003
Using chiral perturbation theory, we calculate the density-dependent spin-orbit coupling generated by the two-pion exchange three-nucleon interaction involving virtual $\Delta$-isobar excitation.

Performance Analysis of CA‐Polar Code for 5G‐IoT Low Power Wide Area Networks

open access: yesInternet Technology Letters, Volume 9, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
ABSTRACT CRC‐Aided Polar (CA‐Polar) codes are the standardized channel coding scheme for control channels of 5G eMBB service class due to their capacity achieving performance. This work aims to assess the compatibility and scalability of CA‐Polar codes toward low power IoT applications coming under the domain of LPWAN.

Changes in Lower Limb Axial Alignment, Gait Biomechanics, and Plantar Force in Crowe Type IV Hip Dysplasia After Total Hip Arthroplasty: A Mean Ten‐Year Follow‐Up Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, Volume 18, Issue 3, Page 459-473, March 2026.
This is the first study to examine the global alignment of the hip, knee, ankle, and lower limb after total hip arthroplasty in DDH Crowe type IV patients with a follow‐up period of more than 10 years. This is also the first study of its kind (as far as we know) in which both the unaffected and the affected sides were monitored, and full normalization ...

Use of Same WDM Channels in Fiber Network for Bidirectional Free Space Optical Communication With Rayleigh Backscattering Interference Alleviation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In the paper, we present and demonstrate experimentally a 10 Gbit/s on-off keying (OOK) bidirectional wavelength-division-multiplexing (WDM) free space optical (FSO) communication architecture integrated in fiber network together with 5 m free space ...
