Development and evaluation of a formulation of probiont Phaeobacter inhibens S4 for the management of vibriosis in bivalve hatcheries

open access: yesAquaculture, Fish and Fisheries, Volume 3, Issue 3, Page 256-267, June 2023., 2023
This research provides evidence on the effectiveness of a newly developed approach to formulation of marine gram‐negaive bacteria for use as probiotics in aquaculture. This formulation approach may be useful for developing formulations of other probionts, especially gram‐negative bacteria for use in marine aquaculture.

Investigation of the Effect of Tool Temperature on Microstructure, Hardness, and Wear Behaviour of Aluminium 6061‐T6 Alloy Welded by the Friction Stir Welding Process

open access: yesMaterial Design &Processing Communication, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
The friction stir welding (FSW) tool is a critical component to the success of the welding process. The aim of the paper is to investigate the effect of tool temperature on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the aluminium alloy during the friction stir welding process.

Investigation of Magnesium and Chromium Fillers FSW Dissimilar Joint of AA6063 and AA 5154

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
Friction stir welding (FSW) is a solid‐state metal joining process. There is no melting and recasting of metal while welding is used. Some of the defects commonly encountered in FSW are tunnel defect, bond, cracks, pin holes, and pipping defects. The defects occur because of improper metal mixing and less heat input in the weld nugget zone.

On the fatigue and fracture behavior of keyhole-free friction stir spot welded joints in an aluminum alloy

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2021
The target of this research study was to evaluate the shear-tensile and fatigue behavior of aluminum 6061 alloy welds, in two different heat treatment conditions, joined by the recently developed intermediate layer friction stir spot welding (FSSW ...

Artificial Neural Network Modelling for Polyethylene FSSW Parameters

open access: yesScientia Iranica, 2018
In friction stir spot welding (FSSW) process the welding parameters (the tool rotational speed, the tool plunge depth and the stirring time) effect the nugget formation in high density polyethylene (HDPE) sheets. The size and the microstructure of the nugget determine the resistance of the joint to outer forces. The optimization of these parameters are

Investigation of FSSW parameters on shear fracture load of AA6061 and copper alloy joints [PDF]

open access: yesHeliyon, 2020
In this research, Friction stir spot welding (FSSW) is extensively employed to join dissimilar metals consisting of AA6061-T6 Aluminium Alloy and Commercial Copper Alloy. These alloys were friction stir spot welded using process parameters with the major impact, such as Dwell Time (DT), Rotational Speed (RS), Plunge Rate (PR) and Tool Diameter Ratio (D/

Microstructure, mechanical and functional properties of refill friction stir spot welds on multilayered aluminum foils for battery application

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2021
The production of batteries often involves the joining of multilayered foils to a conductive tab. In the present study, a solid state spot welding method, the refill friction stir spot welding (refill FSSW), was employed for welding multilayered ...
