Application of FTIR Spectroscopy in Environmental Studies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
FTIR Spectroscopy is a technique based on the determination of the interaction between an IR radiation and a sample that can be solid, liquid or gaseous. It measures the frequencies at which the sample absorbs, and also the intensities of these absorptions.

Hyperbranched Interpenetrating Hydrogen Bond Network (HIHBN) Proton Exchange Membrane for Fuel Cells Above 220 °C

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel polymer electrolyte membrane with a hyperbranched interpenetrating hydrogen bond network structure is developed. The unique structure of the hyperbranched polymer contributes to a high glass transition temperature exceeding 400 °C, enabling its operation at elevated temperatures for fuel cell applications.

Interfacial Interaction‐Mediated Regulation of Metal Oxidation States for Enhanced CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hybrid strategy is employed to optimize bismuth–oxygen interactions, precisely regulating interfacial bismuth–oxygen bonds during topochemical synthesis. This leads to vanadium oxynitride‐bismuth catalyst exhibiting high Faradaic efficiency and durability for formate production, attributed to enhanced reaction thermodynamics and kinetics.
