In this paper, we prepared cermet coatings deposited from submicron WC-CoCr powders using high-velocity oxygen-fuel (HVOF) spraying process. The detailed microstructures, slurry erosion and sliding wear resistance of as-sprayed coatings were investigated.

Boron‐oxide‐assisted particle engineering stabilizes O3‐type layered cathodes for sodium‐ion batteries by mitigating phase transitions and lattice strain. Acting as flux and structural modifier, boron forms submicron hexagonal platelets with (003) facets and expanded Na‐layer spacing, enabling rapid Na⁺ diffusion and mechanical resilience.

This study establishes an in situ electrochemical framework using dense bulk electrodes to identify defect chemistry and surface kinetics.
