Ultrasmall High‐Entropy Materials: Nanoscale Effects, Synthesis, and Mechanistic Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review article focuses on sub‐10 nm high‐entropy materials that combine nanoscale design with complex compositions for next‐generation applications. ABSTRACT Ultrasmall high‐entropy nanomaterials (USHENMs, <10 nm) merge multicomponent chemistry with size‐dependent effects, forming a distinct class of materials with unprecedented properties.

Mechanisms of bed agglomeration during fluidized-bed combustion of biomass fuels

open access: yes, 2005
The major ash-related problem encountered in fluidized beds is bed agglomeration, which, in the worst case, may result in total defluidization of the bed and unscheduled downtime.

Exploring the Roles of Chelating/Fuel Agents in Shaping the Properties of Copper Ferrites

open access: yesAppliedChem
In this study, copper ferrite nanoparticles, a type of ferrimagnetic spinel ferrite, were synthesized using the sol-gel auto-combustion method with three different fuels: citric acid, urea, and ethylene glycol.

Estudo de adsorção de compostos sulfurados utilizando um diesel comercial dopado com benzotiofeno e dibenzotiofeno Study of adsorption of sulphur compounds employing a comercial diesel dopped with benzothiophene and dibenzothiophene

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2009
Desulphurization process by adsorption was studied employing a commercial diesel dooped with 1000 mg/L of benzothiophene and dibenzothiophene. The adsorbents materials employed were three types of activated alumina (acid, basic and neutral).

Trace Sulfur‐Doping Boosts NiCo Heterostructured Catalyst for Selective Glycerol‐to‐Formic Acid Electroreforming

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A sulfur‐doped Ni–Co heterostructured catalyst is rationally designed to regulate interfacial electronic and adsorption properties for selective glycerol electrooxidation. The synergistic Ni–Co active sites promote hydroxide activation and glycerol adsorption, enabling efficient formic acid production and durable hydrogen generation under continuous ...

KIT COLORIMÉTRICO PARA DETECÇÃO DE METANOL EM ETANOL COMBUSTÍVEL PARA O MONITORAMENTO DA QUALIDADE DE COMBUSTÍVEIS

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2015
A colorimetric kit for methanol detection in ethanol-containing fuels and ease of use in the field was developed and tested. The analysis can detect the presence of methanol in fuels when exceeding specification (0.5% v/v) in about 20 min and its simple ...

Phase Evolution Kinetics in Additive‐Free 19.75% Organic Photovoltaics Empowered by Solvent Vapor Annealing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Solvent vapor annealing enables kinetic control of additive‐free morphology in organic solar cells. Selective plasticization of acceptor forms an optimal fibrillar network, boosting efficiency to 19.06% (binary) and 19.75% (ternary), with ultrafast exciton dissociation and reduced recombination.
