The coelurosaur theropods of the Romualdo formation, early Cretaceous (Aptian) of Brazil: Santanaraptor placidus meets Mirischia asymmetrica

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, Volume 309, Issue 10, Page 2752-2789, October 2026.
Abstract The upper carbonate concretion levels of the Romualdo Formation (Aptian, Brazil) have yielded several theropod dinosaur remains, including spinosaurids and the coelurosaurs Santanaraptor placidus and Mirischia asymmetrica, the phylogenetic affinities of which are controversial.

Axial Connectivity of the Lung Microbiome: A Review of Interorgan Crosstalk

open access: yesComprehensive Physiology, Volume 16, Issue 5, October 2026.
The human microbiome mediates immune homeostasis and metabolic signaling across organs. Beyond the gut‐lung axis, crosstalk between the lung and other organ systems is less recognized. This review assesses the axial connectivity of the lung microbiome across the gut, brain, skin, heart, kidney, and liver.

High‐Density Spectral Analysis for Bi‐Atrial Arrhythmogenic Substrate During Non‐Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 5, October 2026.
Analyzing 48 153 CARTOFINDER mapping points revealed that both FoA and RoA sites demonstrated elevated DF deviation (DFD) and RI compared to non‐sites. While both metrics increased progressively with FoA repetitions, high‐repetition RoA sites paradoxically displayed lower values.

Endoscopic Transnasal Apicoectomy for Odontogenic Maxillary Sinusitis

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, Volume 136, Issue 10, Page 4178-4182, October 2026.
Endoscopic transnasal apicoectomy (ETA) is a novel multidisciplinary technique that combines endoscopic sinus surgery with apicoectomy via a transnasal approach. ETA enables direct access to periapical lesions while preserving the causative tooth. Our initial experience suggests that this minimally invasive approach is safe, feasible, and effective for

From Tetracycline to Sulfamethoxazole: Photocatalytic Degradation and Mechanistic Insights in Aquatic Environments

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT The pollution caused by antibiotics to aquatic ecosystems is becoming increasingly serious, thus more effective treatment methods are urgently required. Although the photocatalytic degradation behavior of tetracycline (TC) is relatively well understood, sulfamethoxazole (SMZ), an emerging pollutant originating from large‐scale livestock ...
