OpenMRF: A Modular, Vendor‐Neutral Open‐Source Framework for Magnetic Resonance Fingerprinting Using Pulseq

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Widespread adoption and methodological advancement of magnetic resonance fingerprinting (MRF) are limited by the lack of unified, reproducible implementation frameworks and fragmented open‐source tools. To address these barriers, we introduce OpenMRF—a comprehensive Pulseq‐based solution—designed to enable standardized and transferable

Optimized Gradient Waveforms for Tensor‐Valued Diffusion MRI Under Time‐Dependent Diffusion Using Double‐Isotropic Matched Encoding (DIME)

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Spherical and linear b‐tensor encoding (STE and LTE) enables quantification of microscopic diffusion anisotropy and diffusional variance. However, such waveforms are often variably sensitive to time‐dependent diffusion, causing rotational variance and spectral mismatch.

Whole‐Brain Cerebral Microvascular Pulsatility Imaging Using Dynamic pCASL MRI With Segmented Stack‐of‐Stars Golden‐Angle Radial Acquisition

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose To develop an efficient dynamic pseudo‐continuous arterial spin labeling (pCASL) MRI technique for whole‐brain microvascular flow pulsatility imaging. Methods The proposed technique combines pCASL with a segmented stack‐of‐stars golden‐angle radial acquisition.

Lightning electromagnetic emission location using arrival time differencing (LEELA): An introduction to the Met Office's next generation Very Low Frequency lightning location system

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
This paper describes the Met Office's new lightning location system LEELA. A brief overview of the upgraded hardware and geolocation algorithms is given. LEELA has improved lightning detection capabilities, especially at night. When comparing LEELA to the previous ATDnet system against ground truths LEELA has 100% storm detection efficiency within 5 km

Sonified Signals From a Compact FT‐ICR Instrument: A Feasibility Study. I—Data Mapping to an Equal‐Tempered Chromatic Scale

open access: yesRapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Rationale Ions trapped within a Penning cell (ICR) travel periodic orbits whose frequencies are dependent on their mass‐to‐charge ratio and the value of the magnetic field passing through the trap. Fourier transformation (FT‐ICR) decomposes the signal induced in the detection circuit by the rotation of the ions in the cell after the ...

Integrating multimodal data and machine learning for entrepreneurship research

open access: yesStrategic Entrepreneurship Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Research Summary Extant research in neuroscience suggests that human perception is multimodal in nature—we model the world integrating diverse data sources such as sound, images, taste, and smell. Working in a dynamic environment, entrepreneurs are expected to draw on multimodal inputs in their decision making.
