Full-color photosensitive glass

Journal of Applied Physics, 1978
New polychromatic (full-color photosensitive) glasses are described in which the full color spectrum is developed by photochemical precipitation of subcolloidal silver too small to scatter light. The brilliant colors are shown to be due to selective light absorption by randomly oriented silver-containing particles having controlled anisotropic shapes ...

Full color waveguide liquid crystal display

Optics Letters, 2017
We developed a waveguide liquid crystal display from a liquid crystal (LC)/polymer composite. It does not need polarizers or color filters. It is illuminated by color LEDs installed on its edge. The light produced by the edge LEDs is coupled into the display and then waveguided through the display.

Organic full-color narrowband afterglow

Materials Horizons
Developing a facile and universally applicable strategy to achieve organic full-color narrowband afterglow (OFNA) is highly desirable, as it meets the strategic demands for low-cost and high-color-purity displays in flexible electronics.

Novel concept for full‐color electronic paper

Journal of the Society for Information Display, 2009
Abstract— Despite a steep increase in commercial devices comprising paper‐like displays, a much desired feature is still missing: bright full‐color electronic paper. A new reflective‐display technology has been developed to solve this issue. For the first time, the principles behind this in‐plane electrophoretic technology will be presented, which ...

Full-Color Photochromism of a Fused Dithienylethene Trimer

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2005
A diarylethene fused trimer, 1-(5-(2-(3,5-dimethyl-2-thienyl)hexafluorocyclopententen-1-yl)-2,4-dimethyl-3-thienyl)-2-(5-(2-(2,4-dimethyl-5-phenyl-3-thienyl)hexafluorocyclopentene-1-yl)-2,4-dimethyl-3-thienyl)hexafluorocyclopentene, was synthesized.

Two bit/pixel full color encoding

ACM SIGGRAPH Computer Graphics, 1986
Realism in computer graphics typically requires using 24 or more bits/pixel to generate an image. This paper describes a method developed by the authors called "Color Cell Compression" or "CCC" that preserves at least a limited animation and local update capability yet yields extraordinary-looking color images in approximately two bits/pixel ...

Nonconjugated Polyesters Emitting Full-Color Clusteroluminescence

Accounts of Chemical Research
ConspectusPhotoluminescent polymers have been attracting great attention, owing to their intrinsic mechanical properties, diverse structures, and the ability of intra/inter-chain interactions to regulate their luminescent properties. Conventional luminescent polymers contain classical luminophores, such as extended π-conjugated aromatic carbocyclic and

Full Color Theorems for L(2,1)-Colorings

SIAM Journal on Discrete Mathematics, 2006
The span $\lambda$ (G) of a graph G is the smallest k for which G's vertices can be L(2,1)-colored, i.e., colored with integers in $\{0,1, \ldots, k \}$ so that adjacent vertices' colors differ by at least 2, and colors of vertices at distance two differ.
