Multidimensional Profiling of MRI‐Negative Temporal Lobe Epilepsy Uncovers Distinct Phenotypes

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Although hippocampal sclerosis (TLE‐HS) represents the most frequent cause of temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE), up to 30% of patients show no lesion on visual MRI inspection (TLE‐MRIneg). These cases pose diagnostic and therapeutic challenges and are underrepresented in surgical series.

Seismic forward and inverse simulation in a tight reservoir model of loess plateau region

open access: yesPetroleum Exploration and Development, 2017
To find out the seismic wave field propagation principles in loess plateau near surface of the Ordos Basin and the seismic response characteristics of tight oil reservoirs, this study established a geological-geophysical model under the real conditions ...

Numerical simulations of pure quasi-P-waves in orthorhombic anisotropic media

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2023
The accurate simulation of anisotropic media is critical in seismic imaging and inversion. In recent years, some scholars have dedicated efforts to the study of precise elastic waves in anisotropic media; however, it is easy to separate P-wave and S-wave

Full Wave Form Inversion for Seismic Data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In seismic wave inversion, seismic waves are sent into the ground and then observed at many receiving points with the aim of producing high-resolution images of the geological underground details.

First-principles calculation of topological invariants Z2 within the FP-LAPW formalism

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper, we report the implementation of first-principles calculations of topological invariants Z2 within the full-potential linearized augmented plane-wave (FP-LAPW) formalism.

Printed Integrated Logic Circuits Based on Chitosan‐Gated Organic Transistors for Future Edible Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Edible electronics needs integrated logic circuits for computation and control. This work presents a potentially edible printed chitosan‐gated transistor with a design optimized for integration in circuits. Its implementation in integrated logic gates and circuits operating at low voltage (0.7 V) is demonstrated, as well as the compatibility with an ...

Magnetic Control of Chiral Hybridized Phonon Magnetic Moments in Ferrimagnets Fe2‐xZnxMo3O8

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Helicity‐resolved magneto‐Raman spectroscopy reveals magnetic control of chiral phonon magnetic moments in polar ferrimagnet (ZnxFe2−xMo3O₈). Large spontaneous zero‐field phonon splittings, selective phonon–magnon coupling, and asymmetric Zeeman responses demonstrate that phonon chirality is governed by magnon‐phonon coupling and magnetization.

Measurements and Kernels for Source-Structure Inversions in Noise Tomography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Seismic noise cross correlations are used to image crustal structure and heterogeneity. Typically, seismic networks are only anisotropically illuminated by seismic noise, a consequence of the non-uniform distribution of sources.

A Layered Vegetation Model for GPR Full-Wave Inversion

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing, 2016
The vegetation cover strongly affects microwave remote sensing backscattered signals and makes difficulties in retrieving the surface soil water content (SWC). In this paper, we developed a vegetation cover model for full-wave inversion of ground-penetrating radar (GPR) data assuming multiple layers with effective electrical properties.

An All‐Optical Driven Bio‐Photovoltaic Interface for Active Control of Live Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Bio‐photovoltaic Interface (BIO‐PV‐I) for live cell manipulation is presented. BIO‐PV‐I can be activated non‐invasively and remotely to control the spatial motility, adhesion, and morphology of cells adhering to it. BIO‐PV‐I uses a patterned light‐induced electric potential in iron‐doped lithium niobate crystals whose light‐driven and reversible nature,
