A Full Scale Test for Acoustic Fatigue in Pipework
Volume 9: 6th FSI, AE and FIV and N Symposium, 2006Gas flow through a corrugated pipe can produce unacceptable levels of noise. The occurrence of such noise gave rise to concerns about vibration induced fatigue of small-bore subsea pipework in the Schiehallion oil field. In order to check that the subsea pipework was free from noise-induced vibration a full scale replica of the subsea equipment ...

Full-Scale Fatigue Testing of TLP Tendons
Offshore Technology Conference, 1991ABSTRACT The design of TLP tendons and tendon connectors to resist fatigue failures requires consideration of many factors, such as mean and alternating stresses, cycles, welding, residual stresses, base metal fatigue, and weld profile control. Many assumptions are necessary to do this.

A full-scale structural fatigue test program
Journal of Aircraft, 1964Test methods are described for an experimental fatigue evaluation of a full-scale airplane structure. Specific reference is made to a fatigue test program conducted on the Lockheed P3A wing and gear. A flight-by-flight test loading spectrum comprising 7500 flight hours was constructed to represent the total service experience of the airplane.

Full-Scale Fatigue Test on X60 Spiral Linepipe
Volume 4: Terry Jones Pipeline Technology; Ocean Space Utilization; CFD and VIV Symposium, 2006Both fluctuation of operation pressure and transmission halt have obvious effect on the lifetime of the pipeline. When there exist flaws in the pipes, cyclic load caused by pressure fluctuation will promote the development of such defects especially as cracks. A full-scale fatigue test was performed on the X60 Spiral Submerged Arc-Welded pipes (Outside

Full-Scale Fatigue Testing of Compressor Cylinders
Journal of Fluids Engineering, 1953Abstract Present needs for higher-pressure compressor cylinders for natural-gas pipe lines introduce complexities of design and manufacture. Through full-scale fatigue testing, designs incorporating high-strength cast irons are proved suitable at considerable saving to the user. Comparison of the fatigue-test failure of the design to the

Computer-based full scale fatigue testing
International Journal of Fatigue, 1979Abstract Computer-based methods can help to ease the difficulties of realistic full-scale testing by unravelling some of the complexities of multi-channel service loading simulation during the stages of data acquisition, data analysis and test rig control.

Full-scale fatigue testing (FSFT) forms an integral part of the aircraft development and certification prior to induction into service. The five historical stages of evolution of FSFT are described with a detailed description of present-day requirements including composite structures. The technology used in the FSFT process is explained in detail.

Full Scale Wing Fatigue Testing
1957The problem of fatigue in aircraft structures has been under investigation for many years. Much work has been accomplished in testing and evaluating the effects of different cyclic loads primarily upon material coupons, typical joints, and small component parts.

Full-Scale Fatigue Testing With 130K Yield Tubing
SPE/ICoTA Coiled Tubing & Well Intervention Conference and Exhibition, 2012Abstract Coiled tubing (CT) is widely used in the well-intervention business as a practical and cost-effective means of servicing wells. Since CT’s inception, the use of continuous steel tubular has been the primary means of conduit for the applications required.
