We have discovered 2‐(2‐aminoethylthio) succinic acid with a long‐lasting hair shape control effect. We have demonstrated its hair straightening and curl retention effect, and clarified its mechanism. Abstract Objective Hair is a crucial aspect of an individual's physical appearance.
