Random coding for sharing bosonic quantum secrets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We consider a protocol for sharing quantum states using continuous variable systems. Specifically we introduce an encoding procedure where bosonic modes in arbitrary secret states are mixed with several ancillary squeezed modes through a passive ...

Pulmonary Dysfunction Is Associated With Sleep Study Abnormalities in Children With Sickle Cell Disease: A Multicenter Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Pulmonary dysfunction and sleep abnormalities are common in children with sickle cell disease (SCD) and are associated with worse clinical outcomes. Whether spirometry abnormalities are associated with polysomnography (PSG) findings remains unclear.

Fourier-based Function Secret Sharing with General Access Structure

open access: yes, 2017
Function secret sharing (FSS) scheme is a mechanism that calculates a function f(x) for x in {0,1}^n which is shared among p parties, by using distributed functions f_i:{0,1}^n -> G, where G is an Abelian group, while the function f:{0,1}^n -> G is kept ...

Meromorphic functions whose derivatives share small functions [PDF]

open access: yesKodai Mathematical Journal, 2004
The authors proved that if the derivatives of two nonconstant meromorphic functions \(f\) and \(g\) share three small functions CM\(^*\), or share two small functions CM\(^*\) and other two small functions IM\(^*\), then \(f'=g'\) or \(f'\) is a quasi-Möbius transformation of \(g'\) mostly.

Financial Burden Associated With Hospitalisation Among Families of Childhood Brain Tumours in Australia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Families of children with cancer experience significant financial strain, even with universal healthcare. Indirect costs, such as productivity losses and non‐medical expenses, are rarely included in economic evaluations, and little is known about how effectively financial aid programmes alleviate this burden. Childhood brain tumours

‘They Need to Hear You Say It’: Healthcare Professionals’ Perspectives on Barriers and Enablers to End‐of‐Life Discussions With Adolescents and Young Adults With Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT End‐of‐life conversations with adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer rarely occur without the guidance of healthcare professionals. As a part of the ‘Difficult Discussions’ study, focused on palliative care and advance care planning discussions with AYAs with cancer, we investigated the factors that healthcare professionals identify ...

Rational secret sharing scheme based on Markov decision

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2015
The reconstruction methods of a rational secret sharing based on the Markov decision was studied.Firstly,a rational secret sharing system model was proposed using the Markov decision process, which included the players set,the states set,the risk ...

Spectrum Sharing in mmWave Cellular Networks via Cell Association, Coordination, and Beamforming

open access: yes, 2016
This paper investigates the extent to which spectrum sharing in mmWave networks with multiple cellular operators is a viable alternative to traditional dedicated spectrum allocation.

NORMAL FAMILIES AND SHARED HOLOMORPHIC FUNCTIONS [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, 2012
Summary: In this paper, we study the problem of normal families and deduce some results, which improve and generalize several related theorems obtained by \textit{X. Pang} [Analysis, München 22, No. 2, 175--182 (2002; Zbl 1030.30030)], \textit{M. Fang} and \textit{Y. Xu} [Isr. J. Math. 129, 125--141 (2002; Zbl 1007.30025)] and \textit{F.

Control-Sharing and Merging Control Lyapunov Functions [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2014
Given two control Lyapunov functions (CLFs), a “merging” is a new CLF whose gradient is a positive combination of the gradients of the two parents CLFs. The merging function is an important trade-off since this new function may, for instance, approximate one of the two parents functions close to the origin, while being close to the other far away.
