Path development with applications in deep learning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Path development, originating from rough path theory, serves as a mathematical tool to derive important properties of the path by lifting it to a desirable Lie group.

Lifting the Gribov ambiguity in Yang-Mills theories

open access: yes, 2012
8 pages, 1 figure; published version (PLB), minor corrections, references addedInternational audienceWe propose a new one-parameter family of Landau gauges for Yang-Mills theories which can be formulated by means of functional integral methods and are ...

On Pták’s generalization of Hankel operators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
summary:In 1997 Pták defined generalized Hankel operators as follows: Given two contractions $T_1\in {\mathcal B}({\mathcal H}_1)$ and $T_2 \in {\mathcal B}({\mathcal H}_2)$, an operator $X \:{\mathcal H}_1 \rightarrow {\mathcal H}_2$ is said to be a ...

An Experimental High‐Throughput Approach for the Screening of Hard Magnet Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An entire workflow for the high‐throughput characterization and analysis of compositionally graded magnetic films is presented. Characterization protocols, data management tools and data analysis approaches are illustrated with test case Sm(Fe, V)12 based films.

Dilation theory for rank two graph algebras. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
An analysis is given of $*$-representations of rank 2 single vertex graphs. We develop dilation theory for the non-selfadjoint algebras $\A_\theta$ and $\A_u$ which are associated with the commutation relation permutation $\theta$ of a 2-graph and, more ...

Magnetic Control of Chiral Hybridized Phonon Magnetic Moments in Ferrimagnets Fe2‐xZnxMo3O8

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Helicity‐resolved magneto‐Raman spectroscopy reveals magnetic control of chiral phonon magnetic moments in polar ferrimagnet (ZnxFe2−xMo3O₈). Large spontaneous zero‐field phonon splittings, selective phonon–magnon coupling, and asymmetric Zeeman responses demonstrate that phonon chirality is governed by magnon‐phonon coupling and magnetization.

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Validating the Why/How contrast for functional MRI studies of Theory of Mind [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The ability to impute mental states to others, or Theory of Mind (ToM), has been the subject of hundreds of neuroimaging studies. Although reviews and meta-analyses of these studies have concluded that ToM recruits a coherent brain network, mounting ...

Emergent Topological Magnons and Thermal Hall Effect in 2D Filling‐Enforced Fully Compensated Ferrimagnets

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of ferroelectric‐intercalation‐driven transitions in magnetic configurations and magnonic topological phases, together with the symmetry relations of magnonic Berry curvature. ABSTRACT Magnons in collinear magnets with vanishing net magnetization offer unique advantages for spin transport, including ultrafast dynamics and ...

Data Science : Time Complexity, Inferential Uncertainty, and Spacekime Analytics

open access: yes, 2022
The amount of new information is constantly increasing, faster than our ability to fully interpret and utilize it to improve human experiences. Addressing this asymmetry requires novel and revolutionary scientific methods and effective human and ...
