Scalable Design and Optimization of Reconfigurable Sb2S3 Metasurfaces
Scalable optimization methodologies are developed for reconfigurable Sb2S3 Huygens metasurfaces by combining localized phase‐match and overlap‐integral cost functions that account for inter‐element coupling. The framework enables computationally efficient design of large‐area, dual‐state flat optical devices with arbitrary wavefront transformations ...

An Improved Algorithm for Noise Source Localization Based on Equivalent Source Method
Near-field acoustical holography (NAH) based on the equivalent source method (ESM) is an efficient method applied for noise source identification. As l2-norm-based regularization cannot produce a satisfactory solution of the ill-conditioned problem in ...

Bamboo‐Slip‐Inspired Conformal Reconfigurable Metasurfaces
Bamboo‐slip‐inspired conformal reconfigurable metasurface system. The structure is mainly composed of three parts, which are conformal metasurface, pattern reconfigurable antenna, and control components (such as Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA)). Conformal metasurfaces draw inspiration from the design of ancient Chinese bamboo slips.

Sequential Estimation of Relative Transfer Function in Application of Acoustic Beamforming [PDF]
In this paper, a sequential approach is proposed to estimate the relative transfer functions (RTF) used in developing a generalized sidelobe canceller (GSC). The latency in calibrating microphone arrays for GSC, often suffered by conventional approaches involving batch operations, is significantly reduced in the proposed sequential method.

Sonar beamforming based upon monaural localisation techniques [PDF]
Includes bibliographies.Sonar beamforming is usually accomplished using a multi-element transducer array. To obtain high resolution, such a system is costly and complex. In contrast, many mammals are capable of good angular resolution using only a single
