Design and Fabrication of Novel Digital Transcranial Electrical Stimulator for Medical and Psychiatry Applications [PDF]
In this article, we design a novel Transcranial Electrical Stimulator for medical applications, which is very cheap and can produce the desired signals very accurately. Our fabricated stimulator generates all current signals related to Transcranial Electrical Stimulation (TES) methods, i.e.

A perspective on the control of FES-supported standing [PDF]
This special section is about the control of electrical stimulators to restore standing functions to paraplegics. It addresses several important topics regarding the interactions of the intact central nervous systems (CNS) with the artificial control ...

Imbalanced Surface Charge Induced Phase Segregation in Mixed Halide Perovskites
The key factor determining the phase segregation in mixed halide perovskites (MHP) is the intrinsic imbalanced surface charges in the crystal lattice. MHP films with excellent crystallinity and surface morphology can suffer severe phase segregation.

Electric Stimulation of the Retina [PDF]
Two computational models to be used as tools for experimental research on the retinal implant are presented. In the first model, the electric field produced by a multi-electrode array in a uniform retina is calculated. In the second model, the depolarization of the cell membrane of a probe cylinder is calculated.

Nonlinear Model Predictive Control of Functional Electrical Stimulation
One of the major limitations of functional electrical stimulation (FES) is the rapid onset of muscle fatigue. Minimizing stimulation is the key to decreasing the adverse effects of muscle fatigue caused by FES.

Functional Electrical Stimulation as a Treatment for Spinal Cord Injuries [PDF]
Injury of the spinal cord resulting in quadriplegia or paraplegia IS one of the most devastating conditions a person can experience. The majority of these individuals that suffer from a spinal cord injury are young males.

Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) may aggravate liver fibrosis. In this study, a novel oral targeting nanoemulsion is fabricated to enhance the therapeutic effect of antifibrotic drug‐pirfenidone (PFD) on fibrosis after TACE. Studies have shown that PFD nanoemulsion can enhance the oral liver targeting effect of PFD, and effectively improve the ...
