Convergence of iterates of pre-mean-type mappings

open access: yesESAIM: Proceedings and Surveys, 2014
Pre-mean in an interval I, being defined as a function M:I2 → I such that M(x,x) = x for x ∈ I,is an essential generalization of the mean.

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

On dominated multivalued operators involving nonlinear contractions and applications

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
The objective of this research is to establish new results for set-valued dominated mappings that meet the criteria of advanced locally contractions in a complete extended b-metric space.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Feasibility of a ctDNA multigenic panel for non‐small‐cell lung cancer early detection and disease surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Plasma‐based detection of actionable mutations is a promising approach in lung cancer management. Analysis of ctDNA with a multigene NGS panel identified TP53, KRAS, and EGFR as the most frequently altered, with TP53 and KRAS in treatment‐naïve patients and TP53 and EGFR in previously treated patients.

Functional evolution equations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2003
The paper concerns the functional evolution equation \[ u'(t) \in B u + F(t, u_t) , \;\;t >0, \] \[ u_0(s)= \phi(s)\in C^1([-r,0];X), \] where \(X\) is a real Banach space, not necessarily reflexive, \(F : [0,\infty) \times C([-r,0];X) \to X \) is a single-valued function and \(B: D(B)\subset X \to X\) is a multi-valued nonlinear operator.

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

Steklov Type Operators and Functional Equations

open access: yesAnnales Mathematicae Silesianae
We consider sequences of Steklov type operators and an associated functional equation. For a suitable sequence, we establish asymptotic formulas.

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.
