Bacteria‐Derived 1‐Allylpiperazine Alleviates Symptoms of Parkinson's Disease Model by Promoting Autophagy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Parkinson's disease currently has no disease‐modifying therapies. In Caenorhabditis elegans, Escherichia coli E8 alleviates α‐synuclein‐provoked PD‐related defects through its bioactive metabolite 1‐ALPP, which combats PD by triggering AMPK/mTOR/HLH‐30‐dependent autophagy and suppressing α‐synuclein LLPS‐mediated fibrillization.

A Hypothalamic Oxytocinergic–Sympathetic Axis Couples Anxiety Dysregulation With Impaired Tendon–Bone Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RCI is associated with functional suppression of oxytocinergic neurons in the PVN. Reduced PVNOXT neuronal activity contributes to altered sympathetic regulation involving the IML–sympathetic chain pathway, accompanied by changes in norepinephrine signaling at the BTI.

H4K12 Lactylation Impairs Dopaminergic Neuron Energy Metabolism via the HIF‐1α/NDUFS1 Pathway in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lactate and H4K12la are elevated in Parkinson's disease. Mechanistically, p300‐mediated H4K12la enrichment at the HIF‐1α promoter upregulates HIF‐1α, which represses Ndufs1, impairing mitochondrial respiration and energy homeostasis in DA neurons.

Clinical utility of pharyngeal high‐resolution manometry with impedance for upper esophageal sphincter dysfunction in gastroenterology

open access: yesAdvances in Digestive Medicine, EarlyView.
Abstract Pharyngeal high‐resolution manometry with impedance (P‐HRM‐I) is an established assessment method used to evaluate pharyngeal swallowing. It provides precise quantification of swallowing biomechanics that enable the detection of alterations in swallowing physiology.

Severe Phenotype in an Indian Family With Progressive Pseudorheumatoid Arthropathy of Childhood

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Progressive pseudorheumatoid arthropathy of childhood (PPAC) is a rare autosomal recessive progressive condition that affects the cartilage of joints and bones. The symptoms of PPAC include stiffness of the joints, bony swelling of the toes and fingers, short stature, kyphosis, and muscle weakness.

Musculoskeletal Phenotypes of 19 Patients With X‐Linked HNRNPH2‐Related Neurodevelopmental Disorder: A Prospective Case Series

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Detailed clinical phenotypes have been previously reported for 33 individuals with X‐linked HNRNPH2‐related neurodevelopmental disorder. Of these, 75% self‐reported a musculoskeletal abnormality, including hip dysplasia, scoliosis, kyphosis, lordosis, pes planus, arthritis, and missing spinous processes.

Immune Modulatory Therapy for Severe Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever in a Patient With Mitochondrial Complex I Deficiency: A Case Report

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Dengue virus (DENV) poses a serious global health challenge, particularly in cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). Patients with preexisting mitochondrial disorders may be at increased risk for complications due to the specific impact of DENV on mitochondrial‐dependent cellular processes and immune function.
