Re-Distill: A Multi-Stage Retrieval Framework for Functional–Non-Functional Requirement Linking in Software Engineering

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Non-functional requirements (NFRs) are critical for ensuring software quality, yet they remain difficult to identify due to their implicit and loosely defined relationship with functional requirements (FRs). Existing research predominantly focuses on NFR

Construction of Liapunov functionals for linear Volterra integrodifferential equations and stability of delay systems

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2000
Inspired by the construction of a new Liapunov functional for linear Volterra integrodifferential equations, we prove some general stability theorems for functional differential equations with infinite delay and weaken the usual requirement for positive ...

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Consistency Checking of Functional Requirements

open access: yesCoRR, 2018
Requirements are informal and semi-formal descriptions of the expected behavior of a system. They are usually expressed in the form of natural language sentences and checked for errors manually, e.g., by peer reviews. Manual checks are error-prone, time-consuming and not scalable. With the increasing complexity of cyber-physical systems and the need of

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Identifying Non-Functional Requirements From Unconstrained Documents Using Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning Approaches

open access: yesIEEE Access
Requirements engineering is the first phase in software development life cycle and it also plays one of the most important and critical roles. Requirement document mainly contains both functional requirements and non-functional requirements.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

X-RMTV: An Integrated Approach for Requirement Modeling, Traceability Management, and Verification in MBSE

open access: yesSystems
Formal requirements modeling and traceability management are essential for effectively implementing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). However, few studies have explored the integration of requirement modeling, traceability management, and ...
