CD226+CD8+ T cells express elevated levels of RUNX2, exhibit higher proliferation capacity, cytokines and cytolytic molecules expression, and migratory capacity. In contrast, CD226−CD8+ T cells display an exhausted phenotype associated with the increased expression of co‐inhibitory receptors and impaired effector functions.

Harmonizing results of ataxia rating scales: mFARS, SARA, and ICARS
Abstract The ever‐increasing body of ataxia research provides opportunities for large‐scale meta‐analyses, systematic reviews, and data aggregation. Because multiple standardized scales are used to quantify ataxia severity, harmonization of these measures is necessary for quantitative data pooling. We applied the modified Friedreich Ataxia Rating Scale

Hashing with Binary Matrix Pursuit [PDF]
We propose theoretical and empirical improvements for two-stage hashing methods. We first provide a theoretical analysis on the quality of the binary codes and show that, under mild assumptions, a residual learning scheme can construct binary codes that fit any neighborhood structure with arbitrary accuracy.

Triacsin C inhibition of the acyl‐CoA synthetase long chain (ACSL) family decreases multiple myeloma cell survival, proliferation, mitochondrial respiration, and membrane potential. Made with Biorender.com. Multiple myeloma (MM) is an incurable cancer of plasma cells with a 5‐year survival rate of 59%.

MET variants in the N‐lobe of the kinase domain, found in hereditary papillary renal cell carcinoma, require ligand stimulation to promote cell transformation, in contrast to other RTK variants. This suggests that HGF expression in the microenvironment is important for tumor growth in such patients. Their sensitivity to MET inhibitors opens the way for

FUNCTIONAL RESIDUAL CAPACITY DURING ANAESTHESIA I: METHODOLOGY
The helium dilution technique for the measurement of functional residual capacity (FRC) is reviewed with special reference to anaesthesia. A modification is described which permits measurements to be made during intermittent positive pressure ventilation.

NAD+ regeneration by mitochondrial complex I NADH dehydrogenase is important for cancer cell proliferation. Specifically, NAD+ is necessary for the activities of NAD+‐dependent deacetylases SIRT3 and SIRT7, which suppress the expression of p21Cip1 cyclin‐dependent kinase inhibitor, an antiproliferative molecule, at the translational and transcriptional

Modeling the residual queue and queue-dependent capacity in a static traffic assignment problem [PDF]
The residual queue during a given study period (e.g., peak hour) is an important feature that should be considered when solving a traffic assignment problem under equilibrium for strategic traffic planning. Although studies have focused extensively on static or quasi-dynamic traffic assignment models considering the residual queue, they have failed to ...

Multi-resource Energy-efficient Routing in Cloud Data Centers with Networks-as-a-Service [PDF]
With the rapid development of software defined networking and network function virtualization, researchers have proposed a new cloud networking model called Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) which enables both in-network packet processing and application-specific network control. In this paper, we revisit the problem of achieving network energy efficiency in

Epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) and tumor‐infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) are associated with early breast cancer response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). This study evaluated EMT and TIL shifts, with immunofluorescence and RNA sequencing, at diagnosis and in residual tumors as potential biomarkers associated with treatment response.
