The abstracted and integrated Green functions and OOP of BEM in soil dynamics
Science in China Series G: Physics, Mechanics and Astronomy, 2008It has been generally recognized that Green function integrated with Boundary Element Method (BEM) has advantages in dimensional reduction, high accuracy and satisfaction of the radiation condition at infinity, etc. Recently, the computational technique has rapidly developed and the orient-object programming has been widely applied, whereas the ...

Soil Research, 2013
Hydrological modellers have recently been challenged to improve watershed models by better integrating soil information into model applications. Reliable soil hydraulic information is thus necessary for better describing the water balance components at the catchment scale. Frequently, that information does not exist.

The hummocky post-glacial soil landscapes with kettle holes as internal drainage systems are characterized by ponds that trap lateral fluxes in topographic depressions. A quantitative description is mostly limited by the unknown complexity of hydraulically relevant soil and sediment structures.

Advancements in Biochar for Soil Remediation of Heavy Metals and/or Organic Pollutants
MaterialsThe rapid industrialization and economic growth have exacerbated the contamination of soils with both heavy metals and organic pollutants. These persistent contaminants pose substantial threats to ecosystem integrity and human health due to their long ...

Soil Functional Mapping: Using Data-Model Integration to Improve Regional-Scale SOC Forecasts
2020<p>With advances in the understanding of the mechanisms leading to the persistence or vulnerability of soil organic carbon (SOC) at the profile scale, it is essential to develop infrastructure to integrate this knowledge with landscape-scale mapping and models.
