Large displacements of FGSW beams in thermal environment using a finite element formulation
The large displacements of functionally graded sandwich (FGSW) beams in thermal environment are studied using a finite element formulation. The beams are composed of three layers, a homogeneous core and two functionally graded face sheets with volume ...

Ultrasoft silicone elastomers often sacrifice surface functionality for mechanical compliance. In Mold Star, low‐molecular‐weight species form a dispersed phase that weakens the network and passivates the surface. Solvent extraction removes this phase, unexpectedly improving both extensibility and metallization performance, enabling conductive ...

Effective control over the crystalline contact plane and microstructure of a naphthalenediimide‐bithiazole copolymer enables high‐performance n‐type thermoelectrics. While rubbing alignment induces a detrimental edge‐on orientation, subsequent solvent vapor‐induced re‐orientation facilitates a favorable mixed face‐on/edge‐on morphology.

ABSTRACT Next‐generation implantable neural‐interfacing devices are increasingly constrained by the coupled demands of electrode miniaturization, electrochemical performance, and implantation infection risk. Femtosecond laser–based hierarchical surface restructuring (HSR) technology has emerged as a scalable, manufacturing‐compatible platform for ...

Buckling of Functionally Graded Beams with Rectangular and Annular Sections Subjected to Axial Compression [PDF]
The current study presents a new analytical method for buckling analysis of rectangular and annular beams made up of functionally graded materials with constant thickness and Poisson’s ratio.

Buckling Behaviors of Symmetric and Antisymmetric Functionally Graded Beams
The present study investigates buckling characteristics of both nonlinear symmetric power and sigmoid functionally graded (FG) beams. The volume fractions of metal and ceramic are assumed to be distributed through a beam thickness by the sigmoid-law distribution (S-FGM), and the symmetric power function (SP-FGM).

A single‐step laser annealing strategy is presented for dual‐gate a‐IGZO TFTs. The steep thermal gradient induces graded oxygen doping in the channel and simultaneous WOx removal at the contacts, enabling concurrent interface and contact engineering.

NATURAL FREQUENCY ANALYSIS OF LAYERED FUNCTIONALLY GRADED BEAMS
In this numerical study, natural frequency analysis of layered functionally graded beams in the thickness direction under clamped-free boundary condition was investigated using finite element program ANSYS. The layer arrangements were performed according to Taguchi L9 (3*3) orthogonal array.
