Probiotic fermented goat milk incorporated with blackberry (Rubus sp.): A novel functional food product

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, EarlyView.
Abstract BACKGROUND This study created functional fermented goat milk by adding blackberry pulp and probiotics (Lactobacillus acidophilus LA‐5 and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis Bb‐12). The preparation involved two variations of fermented goat milk with blackberry (Rubus sp.), distinguished by the absence (fermented goat milk, FGM) or inclusion

Extending Field Limits in Nanoscale Magnetic Imaging With Metamaterial‐Inspired Magnetic Flux Concentrators

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Micrometer‐sized flower‐shaped metamaterial magnetic flux concentrators are fabricated directly around nano and micromagnetic samples, enabling local field enhancement. Integrated into magnetic sensitive photoemission electron microscopy, they extend the available magnetic field range by up to a factor of five.

Effect of Unit Cell Topology on Dielectric Properties of Periodic Lattice Materials Used for Functionally Graded Insulation

open access: yesHigh Voltage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Periodic lattice material (PLM) is an innovative material system capable of rapidly and efficiently constructing functionally graded materials (FGMs). Among various PLM structures, triply periodic minimal surfaces (TPMS) exhibit numerous advantages, making TPMS‐based lattice materials a potential candidate to electrical FGMs.

A Thermal‐Dependent Conductivity Coating for Surface Charge and Electric Field Mitigation Under Electrothermal Coupling Field

open access: yesHigh Voltage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The problem of gas–solid interface charge accumulation is an important reason for distorting the surface electric field and then inducing surface discharge. The temperature gradient distribution formed on the spacer during the operation of a gas‐insulated transmission line (GIL) will aggravate the surface charge accumulation, further ...

Multi-Material Spreading Strategies for Functionally Graded Material Manufacturing in LPBF [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
Functionally graded materials (FGMs) offer superior performance due to their gradual property variation. However, traditional manufacturing face challenges with material wastage, geometric complexity, and process control. Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF-AM)

High-Precision Isogeometric Static Bending Analysis of Functionally Graded Plates Using a New Quasi-3D Spectral Displacement Formulation

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
A new quasi-three-dimensional (3D) shear deformation theory, called the spectral displacement formulation (SDF), is proposed for high-precision static bending analyses of functionally graded plates.

Ceramic Production and Geodiversity in Iron Age Iberia: An Archaeometric Study of Pottery from Castrejón de Capote (SW Spain)

open access: yesArchaeometry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The hillfort of Castrejón de Capote is one of the best investigated settlements of Late Iron Age southwest Iberia. Located in the territory that the classical sources attributed to the Celtici, it was occupied between the early 4th and the 1st centuries bce.

Tooth Sensitivity, Bleaching Efficacy, and Quality of Life in Young People and Adults: A Stratified, Randomized Bi‐Center Study

open access: yesJournal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives This study compared tooth sensitivity, bleaching efficacy, and the impact on oral health‐related quality of life between at‐home and in‐office tooth bleaching in adults and young individuals. Materials and Methods Eighty participants, 40 young people (14–20 years) and 40 adults (40–60 years), were randomly assigned to receive either
