Functional Dependence and Analytic Functions [PDF]
Canadian Mathematical Bulletin, 1979 AbstractWithout appealing to the Cauchy theorem or its corollaries, it is proved that the real and imaginary parts of a non-constant complex-valued analytic function of several complex variables are functionally independent. This unifies and generalizes some results sporadically treated in standard treatises on function theory.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
FEBS Letters, EarlyView.Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
