The influence of succinic acid on the quality of fur-bearing animals skin

open access: yes, 2012
The introduction of succinic acid to the ration of juvenile foxes and minks allows for better skin quality, however the presence of it in the diet of Arctic foxes produces a negative effect on the skin. The optimum dose for juvenile fur-bearing animals (fox and mink) is 5 mg/kg LW. The succinic acid is being added to the fodder during the growth period
