Gas evolution behaviors of sodium layered oxide cathodes with varying compositions, cutoff voltages, dopants, and particle sizes/morphologies have been systematically investigated by online electrochemical mass spectrometry. The fundamental outgassing mechanisms of sodium‐based cathodes compared to lithium‐based cathodes have been elucidated.

This work demonstrates that synergistic Li and Ti co‐doping enhances sodium inventory, suppresses detrimental phase transitions, and activates reversible lattice oxygen redox.

This work presents lightweight, lignin‐derived carbon fiber current collectors that enable controlled lithium deposition. Structural defects and intermediate‐sized pores stabilize pre‐nucleation quasi‐metallic lithium clusters, promoting uniform lithium plating and stripping.

The work examines the electrochemical and interfacial behaviors of crystalline NaAlCl4 and amorphous Na–Al–oxychloride solid electrolytes with NaNi0.5Mn0.5O2 cathodes.
