Fertigation guidelines for furrow irrigation

open access: yesSpanish Journal of Agricultural Research, 2004
A mathematical model was developed to simulate the application efficiency and uniformity of water-soluble fertilizers through furrow irrigation. The model simulates solute mass balance and transport for one-dimensional unsteady flow during the advance and post-advance phases of a furrow irrigation event.

1170. Allium kollmannianum Brullo, Pavone & Salmeri

open access: yesCurtis's Botanical Magazine, EarlyView.
Summary Allium kollmannianum is a small, late‐spring to early‐summer blooming Allium, endemic to the Negev Desert in south Israel, and previously thought to be extremely rare and critically endangered. Here we expand new information regarding its distribution and habitat in the Negev Desert, and a new estimation of its threat level, considering the new

Effects of Acidic Media on the Mechanical and Optical Properties of Digitally Designed Restorative Materials

open access: yesJournal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective This investigation assessed how acidic environments affect the optical behavior, surface roughness, and hardness of a newly developed 3D‐printed permanent resin compared with commonly used computer‐aided design/computer‐aided manufacturing restorative blocks.

Temporal and spatial distribution of soil water and nitrate content affected by surface irrigation and fertilizer rate in silage corn fields

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2020
Among surface irrigation systems, long border and furrow are more adaptive to mechanized farming but may cause a non-uniform distribution of water and nutrients.

Fracture resistance and behavior of endodontically treated maxillary premolars with varying ferrule heights and post numbers: A laboratory study

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To investigate how varying ferrule heights and the number of glass fiber posts affect fracture resistance and behavior of endodontically treated maxillary first premolars with substantial loss of tooth structure. Materials and Methods Twenty‐four extracted endodontically treated human maxillary first premolars were divided into three ...

Effectiveness of plasma‐enhanced chemical vapor film in surface treatments of resin‐matrix ceramics to preserve optical characteristics after different aging processes

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose The aim of this study was to evaluate the surface roughness and optical characteristics of three ceramics with resin matrix for computer‐aided design and computer‐aided manufacturing, after different surface treatment protocols associated or not with the application of film deposition by plasma‐enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD)

Autogenous Demineralized Dentin Graft–Based Strategies With or Without I‐PRF and Metronidazole for Ridge Preservation in Infected Sockets: A Randomized Clinical Trial

open access: yesJournal of Periodontal Research, EarlyView.
This randomized controlled trial evaluated the efficacy of demineralized dentin graft (DDG) combined with injectable platelet‐rich fibrin (I‐PRF) and metronidazole (MTZ) versus DDG with or without I‐PRF in alveolar ridge preservation (ARP) of infected extraction sockets.

The Effects of Rapid Periodontal Distraction on Tooth Vitality and Bone Quality/Quantity: A Split‐Mouth Experimental Design

open access: yesOrthodontics &Craniofacial Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Periodontal distraction (PD) osteogenesis is a minimally invasive technique capable of rapidly moving uniradicular teeth, thereby shortening orthodontic treatment time. This study aimed to determine whether: (1) PD‐induced tooth movement affects tooth vitality and (2) the regenerated bone meets restorative standards for implant ...

Sediment Transport Model for a Surface Irrigation System

open access: yesApplied and Environmental Soil Science, 2013
Controlling irrigation-induced soil erosion is one of the important issues of irrigation management and surface water impairment. Irrigation models are useful in managing the irrigation and the associated ill effects on agricultural environment.
